This is where I stopped reading...

This list seems familar anyways, I remember another top games list from Japan from some time ago and was surprised by how high Tactics Ogre placed.

There may be more cases on the list, but... I really enjoy how RE4 made the list twice, once for GC and once for PS2. Redundant, much?

This is a fairly ok list overall, and yet utterly hilarious at the same time.
Man, they sure love their variety in Japan.
The list seems mostly accurate to me. It's filled with games I like Most of my favorite games ever made the list, like FFVII, FFIX, FFX, Chrono Trigger, Secret of Mana, etc.
This is where I stopped reading...
FFX is one of the greatest games of all time. I really loved the storyline, characters, etc. in the game.

It's too damn linear compared to other Final Fantasy games. It forces you along a path most of the game, while others would let you go where ever you want(with a little restriction at the beginning).

I can't take the list seriously when that's ranked #1 . That list has too many freaking RPGs on it.

Every list I've seen from U.S. gaming mags at least tries to balance it out for every genre. Super Monaco GP & Super Mario Kart are the only two racers I see on that list. How the hell did Dynasty Warriors 3 make that list? From what I understand, the game barely did anything new(aside from pushing the fog back a bit).

That almost reads as my top 100 least favorite games. Ugh. Talk about games I don't have the slightest bit of interest in (for the most part)

I despise western RPGs because they are not linear.

It's because the Japanese love RPGs, just like me. If I were to list my top 100 games of all time, at least 50% of them would be RPGs.

I'm glad there's no FPS. :p I really can't stand that genre much.

Love me some FFX, but not the greatest game of all time. Better than most of the other FF games though.
Tetris came from the west?

Also, where is the King of Fighters love?
It came from Russia. I should have said 'non Japanese developed'.

For all the talk of niche RPGs not selling in the US, it seems they don't sell for shit in Japan either (if the poll is any indication of sales).

Note to developers: If it doesn't have "final" or "dragon" in the title, don't bother.

Japanese like RPGS and quirky games mixed in with alittle dynasty warriors.
Americans like their GTA, Madden and other sports games mixed in with some Mario and Zelda.

No suprises here, outside of FFVI being ranked incredibly low compared to the other FF's.
