KOF 98 for Dreamcast. It's got a great intro, tons of characters, old school gameplay, and you can link it to your Neo Geo Pocket. Was I the only one that actually used the Neo Geo Pocket link?

The intro's are amazing

My favorites are Marvel vs Capcom and Street Fighter Alpha 3, but I haven't played any of the Street Fighter 3 series, which I hear are amazing.

I'd have to go with Marvel vs Capcom (the first one) for DC or Arcade.

Other top notches include Street Fighter vs Marvel Super Heroes (since you can tag Ryu & Ken), KOF'97, and Ultimate Mortal Kombat/MK Trilogy

I like Guilty Gear XX alot Slayer, Cliff and Axl rock, but I tend to stick more to old school titles. I also really like Last Blade 2 and Fatal Fury Real Bout Special. I'm an SNK nut.

Street Fighter III: Double Impact. Third Strike is good and all , but the stages and music do not top double impact

Garou is also really good

Hiya,

I haven't played much of Guilty Gear at all, and I hear things can get crazy, but...

It's Marvel vs. Capcom 2 for me. :D :D :D Of course, it sucks when people only pick top tier characters and cheese, but when you've got some friends with variety, it's a LOT of fun. :D Main drawback of that game was music... >_< That, and story (well YOU try making a story for 50+ characters! :p They prolly did in Capcom vs. SNK 2, huh). BUT! Take Marvel vs. Capcom 1 music and story and stick it in with Capcom 2, and you've got yourself an AWESOME game. Remember in Capcom 1, when one of your characters died, the theme song of your remaining character played? I loved that so much!! The graphics also seemed a little flashier in Capcom 1...

Thing about KoF games and Capcom vs. SNK games is that they seem a little slow to me... not that I'm the best at them or anything, but the dashes and junk just aren't as nuts as Capcom 2...

I love my GBA Alpha 3...that would probably be my favorite, although the many versions of SF2 are up there as well.

And it may be cheap as all hell and a rather crappy game overall, but I still have fun with Mortal Kombat (1 and 2) for my Genesis. :D
Any Samurai Showdown game!
Even Warriors Rage? Not to many people went crazy for that one.

1. Samurai Showdown II (NEO-Geo Arcade)
the fing best

2. Super Street fighter III
3. MK II, MvC2, Marvel v. SNK--any of those for 3rd place

Street fighter II

This game drew crowds for years at arcades as well as 7-11's and movie theaters. In the top 10 of best video game ever. Young bucs probably won't understand........

Current fave is Super Smash Bros. Melee. I've destroyed many a controllers playing this game. I'd own all of you with my low/mid-tier characters...

I doubt that. I am pretty much unbeatable with Roy. If I do lose its only because I have like 15 smashes and everyone else has 2

as far as fighting games go X-Men vs. Street Fighter is creeping up into my top 5. I spent a good 4 hours playing that with my friend yesterday.
