The OP says right in his post that it's for the VC version. We'll have to wait a little while for a 3DS Kid Icarus give away.

I'd like this, but I can't seem to download some games. I bought my Wii second-hand from someone I knew, who didn't legally obtain certain classic games like this one. :(
 
Yeah, this is the original. If our activity ever booms, we may very well run a contest for a free copy of the 3DS game.
