FF Tactics greatest hits changes?

spincut

CAGiversary!
I just noticed the greatest hits edition in the store (that would explain why it was out of stock on amazon and now says "newest version").

While i've seen this happen on a gamecube game and PS2 game every now and then, PSP games seem to get revisions quite a bit.

I heard something about slowdown in the original. So, was anything alterened or glitch fixed for the GH version that just came out?

if they didnt fix anything between the Japanese and US release, dont count on them fixing anything now.

The greatest hits version of Midnight Club on the PSP had significantly improved load times...so it's possible And if there was one game that could use some speed improvements, it's Tactics :p

why? they've made alterations between GH and non GH games before. They even did it with a regular print run (Tales of Eternia volt glitch).
if anyone can answer this, it would be cool if true.
Yes, i'd be curious if anyone knows anything at this point.

Because if they pass on doing it once, they are going to pass it again. It they were going to do any coding it would be during the localization.

You're right, but they don't really have a deadline when releasing GH games, so they're probably more free to do something like that.

off topic...but

Is it worth it to get the psp version if I already have the DS one.

but for GH price, I might pick one up used w/edge+coupon

They are two different games.

Anyway, I'd bet the answer is no.

The PS1 version is one of my top three games of all time, so I'd say definitely get it for PSP, especially with the redone localization. Like people said, it's a different game than the GBA/DS FFTs.

In my opinion, the PSP FFT outclasses the DS one in every single way. You aren't going to find many people who will say A1 or A2 is better than the original Tactics.

ok, I'll try it out since I loved the ps1 version. I like the ds version but its just not the same for some reason. Was hoping the psp version was closer to the original, so I'll give it a shot.

The PSP version of FFT is better than the PS1 version. There are some cool new features and the game is much more mature and epic feeling than the DS/GBA versions. I would say it's a must-buy if you own a PSP and like strategy games.

HUH?! I'm not sure why the above user said that, but the answer is a resounding YES, FFT was the punultimate game. The Tactics advance series are definetly not in the same league in my opinion, so War Of the Lions (or the PS1 version) is definetly worth playing.

What? FFT for PS1 is considered one of the best if not the best games in its genre.

Edit: Oh. Duh.

Yes, the PSP/psone game is much better.

I think he meant the answer to the OP's question is no.

Not that FFT isn't worth it.

Everyone knows it's the best SRPG.
