Whatever happened to the nifty GB MIcro Final Fntasy IV faceplate we saw featured in news stories a month or two ago? Looked pretty cool and now that FF IV is out I haven't seen it anyplace. Was it always just a Japan only thing?

Also I've been told (dunno if it's true though) that there are several kinds of faceplates available for the Micro in Japan. If that is true does anybody know if there's someplace or someway to import them?

Okay then so that brings about the 2nd question I suppose. Anyone know a place where you can buy import faceplates?
 
I think it was only being packaged with the FFVI Micro bundle, so unless you order that, you'd have to buy it off of someone else.

I do so want to import that.
 
Honestly, the micro's been out a good 2-3 months here and I haven't seen a SINGLE faceplate for sale (apart from the ones that come with the system). I know the Final Fantasy one is only in the bundle though.

But there's a slim chance that you could eventually order it from Nintendo's online store.....probably not though.
 
Thanks for the link, Wet Ninja; I wanted to know what the box looked like.

NCSX is selling it for $175.00, and I think shipping was around $9 for it, but they closed preorders on it. :(
 
Well that kinda sucks. So the only way to get one is to import the entire bundle? So much for the news of it being just the faceplate. Though I admit that Micro looks awfully sweet but I don't paid enough to fork over an extra $100 for a Micro and an import copy of Final Fantasy IV that I'll never play because I can't read Japanese.
 
Sigh. They need to get on to selling faceplates quick. I want the FFIV one soooooo badly. :( Almost enough to import the set via lik-sang. Almost. I think before I do that I'll buy the blue Micro.

Damn you Japan, and your exclusive access to awesome shit Americans can never get except for high prices. :(
