Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children Complete on Blu-ray is now available for pre-order on Amazon. It has a release date of June 2nd and is $26.99.

I'm not sure if this will include the demo or not because there are rumors floating around that the U.S. and Europe won't get the demo due to a licensing conflict between Square-Enix and Microsoft. I pre-ordered now and I will wait for confirmation on the demo. Just a heads up!

Here is where I got my info from. Basically, it all comes down to sales. If Advent Children comes out on Blu-ray with the FFXIII demo on it, then 360 owners can't play it. Blu-ray/PS3 version sales of the game will spike because people would be allowed to play the demo on the PS3 and be more comfortable playing it on the PS3 rather than the 360. Microsoft doesn't want the PS3 to have an advantage over them because of their huge deal with S/E and how big the game is going to be. Personally, I've only said that I'm buying FFXIII on the PS3 and I'm sticking to that. I refuse to buy it on the 360 because it's simply not right. The FF series belongs on the PS3, period.

I personally don't mind traditional franchises on one system being ported. The more people that can play a great game, the better. What I do have issue with is that FF13 is being delayed because SE is porting it to the 360 and want to have a simultaneous release for the PS3 and 360 versions here in the US.

How is that a problem? They haven't started porting FFXIII to 360 yet. There's no agreement saying a demo for one system can't come out now and the other later.

I think that's the reason I'm a little upset if this rumor is true. Microsoft cries foul like a little baby because they wouldn't get the demo, but the fans have to suffer? Gee, I wonder where MS's intentions lie with this deal with S/E.

In any case, if the demo is released for the version I posted, at least it will be for a much better price than the one on play-asia.com. If this version doesn't get the demo, then I'll gladly pay more for the demo through them.

I think MS is trying to pull the fairness card here with Square-Enix. There's no agreement that we know of concerning demos of the game, but there's an agreement of when the game will be released along side with the PS3 version. Demos are make or break in this industry and if your system doesn't get the demo, but the other system does, then people like me who have both systems will be more inclined to purchase the game on the platform they played the demo on. It sounds stupid, and it is, but that's how it works now.

In for one. I don't think Amazon charges until they ship so either way it's a win-win. Just cancel if there's no demo. It's also a good price for a blu ray ($27). Amazon's real price is usually correct and it may even make a nice flip. I wish I had someone to share prime with though... The pre-order guarantee is pretty good too.

Thanks for the heads up!:D
