Saw it tonight, had around 15 copies at the Atlanta Hwy location. These were the regular edition, not the LE. It's probably been sitting on the shelf for longer than that. Not really interested in it, but I figured others may be foaming at the mouth for another Square game. As I always say, Montgomery incompetence is easy to find!

There wasn't a price sticker, so I'm figuring it's full MSRP. Go snag it if you're desperate to have it a couple days early.

Apparently if you buy the game, call 1-800-317-1030 and report a store that breaks the street date with a receipt as proof, you'll get reimbursed for the cost of the game by either Square or Sony (dunno who handles the number). I was cancelling my preorder for FFXII at EB yesterday since a local store broke the street date, and the manager was real surprised to hear about it. He gave me the number and told me to call it if i wanted a free game. It's an independent store, though, and i love it to death so I'm not gonna narc on them, but if you don't have any qualms about sticking it to Wal-Mart, be my guest :)

It was funny, though. Another employee at EB started fidgeting around when he heard it was for sale up the street...looked like he was gonna bolt out the door at any minute

Damn.. I didn't know that! That's some interesting info. I wonder how long it takes to reimburse it.. it's not worth the trouble for me if the refund would take 4-6 weeks. I wouldn't mind sticking it to Wal Mart though.

As for the independent store, I don't blame you for your action. Mom and pop stores, while many have their faults, are one of the only places you'll find an all in one store that sells things not carried by larger retail chains. It's hard enough to survive in that kind of market without corporate backing.

Thanks for the heads up. I'm gonna let my preorder for the LE ride tho. As much as I hate every single one of our local EB's now, I want the LE set so I don't have much of a choice. I have a motto tho: if Rhino sells it, that's where I buy it.
