went into the "crappy" pawn shop today.. usually they don't have piss today was different..

ran into a Dreamcast with a controller/vmu plus house of dead 2 and soul caliber for 32 bucks also found Ogre Battle 65 for 6 bucks..
you're retarded.
It is a fun game indeed, but let's not listen to people who have a pickle as their avatar.

well.. while i'm not a fan of strategy games i'll play it to see what its like.. and besides its fairly uncommon to rare and i've only seen 3 copies in the last 3 years so i think its a pretty good find and even if i only spend 2 hours on the game its still better then most movies i've spent 7.50 on. yeah.. ogre battle 64 not 65 ...

There are only three reasons to own a DC at this point: Tennis 2K2, Power Stone, and Street Fighter Alpha 3 (World Tour is not found on the new SFA version).

Thank you for not making me do it. Also, Test Drive Le Mans and MSR still hold up well

I rented Ogre Battle 64 from Blockbuster back in the day and I really loved it, even though I don't normally like those type of games (I'm not sure why I own the FFT games). I hope it makes it to the DS.

Alot of those titles have been ported to other consoles or just aren't good and the two CocheseUGA just meantioned have had far superior sequels released (PGR, PGR2) and Test Drive Le Mans has been ported to the PS2 and it easier to find on PS2. Also, MVC2 is best on PS2 because of the controls.

They may have been ported to other consoles, but they are definetly aren't as good. I do think you might be the only person I've seen try to claim that MvC2 is better on the PS2. Pass the pipe, please. Also, just because something is easier to find =/= better.

Hydro Thunder and MvC2 are by far better on the DC.
Toy Commander is a great game.
Sega Bass Fishing. I'll go ahead and declare it the best fishing game out there with the controller.
Seaman - one truly unique experience that I recommend to anyone.
Crazy Taxi was far better on the DC than the shitty PS2 version.

I'll just limit my counterpoint to the games I've played. Thanks for trying to threadcrap though.

How was Crazy Taxi shitty on PS2? It was the same thing!

An even better version of all the Crazy Taxis were released on Xbox as Crazy Taxi 3.

Le Mans isn't better on DC, and it is better to find something easier. Unless you think seraching everywhere for something is enjoyable.

Better controls on MVC2 = worse in your opinion apparently. The DC version may be more true to the arcade release in non-significant ways but they dont matter when you consider how much of an improvement the controls are on PS2.

Those others you posted are pretty mediocre really and are only reccomended if you can buy them for like $2 or less. And, your the one threadcrapping, dunce.

Fixed.

I'm glad I didn't have people like you telling me what to buy when I was young and impressionable, because I'd have a really shitty opinion on what to buy for myself. Find me someone else on this board who agrees with HALF of your opinions, and I might take you seriously. LeMans IS better on DC, because the PSx version was super shitty. Have you even played some of these games you so easily dismiss?

Did SEGA not ask you out to the prom? Doesn't matter, a mod will come in and clean the garbage out soon enough and what you posted won't even matter. Evan will enjoy some company on my ignore list.

You're awesome and its an honor to join your list :D

There was no PSX version of Le Mans. Now your just making information up which is proof of your total lack of knowledge on the subject. It was released on PS2 under a different game (Le Mans 24 Hours, they lost the Test Drive license) but it was the same game.

Do I care if anyone agrees with my opinions? No. No mod will clean it up because its an opinion just as yours and I dont see why your getting worked up about it. Cant handle others opinions, eh? :whistle2:s

And for the record I own a DC and a Genesis.

Guess that makes you an expert, doesn't it? Actually, far from it:

You are absolutely, positively 100% incorrect about Le Mans not being on the PSX.

http://psx.ign.com/objects/012/012578.html

6.5, whereas the DC version is rated a 9.4. And before you say it, we'll just ignore the fact that I saw it yesterday at my Rhino.

You were saying something about the total lack of knowlege again?

No, the PSX version is not the same as the DC one. Its not for PSX because the PSX version is a watered down piece of crap. Even if it wasent, the two were probably reviewed by seperate people so that would be like saying the GC version of POP is crap because a reviewier gave the Xbox version a 9 while I gave it a 4. But thats not the case here.

Back to what I was originally talking about, its like saying Madden 2001 is the same game on PSX and PS2 - it's definitely not and the PSX version is much worse. However, Le Mans IS available for PS2 and it is the same game as the DC version. Next time do a little research.

Stop backpedaling. You're a moron and I'm done reading your posts.

Proof that your an idiot - you make up false information and you cant take others opinions. Go troll your way back to GameFaqs.
i found Ogre Battle 64 at my used record store as well for around the same price

sold it off for $35, game is ass

enjoy!
I beg to differ. Ogre Battle 64 is the only N64 game I spent over 100 hours on, and I enjoyed it most of the way through.

people, people! let's stop the fighting. we can all agree on one thing:

Bangai-O was a unique Dreamcast game, and it's so fun it makes me want to make out with myself.

there, it's settled.

Just goes to show you when 99.9% of the public disagrees with you, perhaps you are the one that is wrong.

I love when I've been here 2 years, never even been to GameFAQs and I'm called a troll from GameFAQs. Ignorance.

Getting back on topic, some other DC recommendations:
WSB 2K2 - avoid 2K1 as it doesn't have the Home Run Derby
Toy Commander - this is a really fun game, but can frustrate you as you go along. Some of the missions are very tough, and have no room for error. For the uniqueness alone this is worth a look.
Shenmue - either you'll love it or you'll hate it, but you won't know until you try
Power Stone - see above. It's a great fighter, IMO.
Seaman - you'd be hard pressed to find anything else like it. Comedy for the console.
Ecco - heard great things about the visuals, trying to secure a cheap copy myself
NBA on NBC - I liked this game from the arcade (playing in between classes), so I picked it up. There are other versions, but I've found nothing wrong with this one.
Hydro Thunder - Don't listen to those who tell you to pick it up on another console. I've played every single version (MAT3 included) and this is hands-down the best version. Only complaint I have about it is exiting to the menu after every race. Otherwise, arcade perfect (although I haven't heard the boat captain talk about 'millions of polygons,' but I just may not have been paying attention).
SF Rush 2049 - fun. Not much else I have to say. It's also on MAT3, but get the original.

Just because SEGA released something in a compliation or rereleased it on another console doesn't mean it's better, or it's even close to good (Sonic Mega Collection-GC comes to mind). IGN is re-reviewing all the DC games for sweet, sweet nostalgic goodness, so check that out.

Also, there are several of us remaking covers so they fit with the other current gen games. Check out the classic forum.

Miller's Reccomendations:
Marvel Vs. Capcom 2 (Never played the PS2 version)
Sonic Adventure 1 & 2 (2 is sorta rare, If you can find it pick it up.)
Any 2k Sports games are awesome (Except MLB 2k1. Can't say im a fan.)
Virtua Tennis (Awesome game.)
Record of Lodoss War (Mindless Hack and Slash fun.)
Unreal Tournament (Freakin Sweet)
Quake 3: Arena

Stay Away from:
Sonic Shuffle (it's a Mario Party ripoff.. lame.)
Space Channel 5 (Simon says.. on a video game console.)
MLB 2k1 (Visuals sucked, gameplay sucked too.)
NBA 2k (It's old.. many little glitches which were fixed in 2k1/2k2)

You do not equal millions of people. You dont even equal 1% of CAG.

Its my opinion. An opinion can be wrong? Now this is getting hilarious :applause:

Actually, I was talking about pretty much everyone else on this board would say MvC2 is best on the DC. Go ahead, do a poll if you don't believe me.

As for being wrong, how about misguided?
