oh man, I just got a xbox with 2 controller, 7 games and a backpack case for $100 cash upfront. I'm serious! NO BS. I don't know if this is a great deal or not, but I have always wanted to get a xbox, you know, fable/halo/ninja gaiden (to see what the hype is all about), but back off many times.

7 Games I got were House of Dead II, 007, I-Ninja, Starwars/TetrisWorld, Spideman, Freestyle street soccer, and Hit and Run

Here the story: I went to ebgames because I lost my preorder receipt for the PSP and the store manager told me, just bring my ID on launch day. What a relief! So yeah, a man and probably his 3 son came in and said he wanted to trade his xbox and games for cash. The store manager offered him $70 for the xbox/two controller and $15 for 7 games". The man accept it. I was like that its. C'mon, I can do better than that. Well a lil' better. I came up next to the guy and whisper to him, how about $100 for it. He stare at me and said "fawk yeah, I meet you outside." I went to the atm machine, which was like right across of ebgames, withdrawal $100, and met him outside, and made the deal. End of story.

I just tested all the game, everything work perfectly. Just curious does the xbox used memory card? I think I need to get one.
 
Unless you plan on taking a saved game to a friends house you don't need a memory card as the XBox has a built in hard drive to save your games on. :D
 
Heh, I love when this happens... once some guy bought my N64 from ebgames for 20.. no controller, no hookups... weird thing is that we made the deal in ebgames and the manager didnt say anything, he said after he left that he wanted to see it happen because they sell used n64 for 15... I was soooo happy.
 
Very nice deal. I had something similar (but not nearly as good) happen. Some guy was selling off various Xbox stuff at EB Games, including some perfect condition Controller S's. They were only paying $5 for the controllers. I needed one (to get 4 total), and asked if he'd sell to me instead.

The guy was really cool, because he sold it to me at the same $5 price EB was charging. I thanked him and enjoyed my good deal!
 
The same thing happened with me trying to trade in my extra GH copy of Castlevania:SOTN except I ended up selling it to one of the employees for $30. SCORE!
 
Yeah Man, sorry most of the games you got werent that great, but for what you paid for them its still not that bad.

Here is a list of some XBOX games to enjoy, and yes I know some of them are obvious.

-Ninja Gaiden
-Morrowind
-Oddworld: Strangers Wrath
-Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic ($20)
-Panzer Dragoon Orta
-Halo 1 and 2
-Super Monkey Ball Deluxe should be a decent game as long as its ported decent from the GC

how come that employee got to do that?. someone was gonna trade in a mint copy of gitaroo man (i think...i remember its really rare and i really wanted it) to EB and since EB didnt give him much for it, he didnt want to trade it in. i begged my manager to let me offer him $20 for it because its really really really really rare but he was like "if you do that, you can consider yourself unemployed" :(

anyway congrats man, lol. the best deal i ever got was when a coworker of mine back at an arcade i used to work at sold me his xbox, two controllers, and 6 games (they all sucked) for $40 cash...sold it for about $150 on ebay :cool:

yea the games sux. I trade it to gamerush and got $36 store credit. I'm thinking of getting ninja gaiden.

The combat actually isn't too bad... the voice overs get annoying though.. but atleast it gets my GF playing games.
