OH man o man, I've worked at Gamestop for nearly two years now, and its been nice having the discount and all. But I've never got anything really rare, other employees or customers always seem to beat me. So I walk in to pick up Seinfeld on dvd and my co-worker says, hey look what was traded in.... so i look and it is perfect, and let me emphasize perfect these discs look like they were played once and the manuals dont have a bend or a fingerprint on them, copies of suikoden i and suikoden ii. i just about died, so i whip out the card and she rings me up. so I got Suikoden I and II for 80 dollars after discount. Not the cheapest price I've seen, but pretty good nonetheless. I am quite happy. :bouncy:

Hate to burst your bubble but let me tell you my Gamestop Suikoden I & II story.

I use your website all the time to find used games. One day about two years ago I found a Suikoden II at one of your stores about 20 miles away. I go to pick it up and they have 2. One absolute mint, the other one close to it. They also have Suikoden I, same thing, one mint, one close to it. They also have Final Fantasy Anthology and Chronicles before the re-release as GH's that were like $40 and $45. This happened to be during their "B2G1 Free" used game sales.

So I get 2 Suikoden I's and II's, Final Fantasy Anthology and Chronicles for $180 something with tax. Then I eBay the less than mint pair of Suikodens for.... $180. Meaning after selling fees and Pay Pal costs I got all four for about $15.

Congrats on your find. I got Suikoden I and II for about $90 after 10% discount. Both are complete and in excellent condition.

I recently found another Suikoden I, complete and mint, at my GS during the B2G1 free deal - looking to find another Suikoden II to have two sets of Suikoden I-III. :)

Yea, when pigs fly.

I just picked up a copy of Suikoden I used for $16.50. Its in pretty good shape, no booklet though and it has been placed in a single cd case instead of the double cd case although it has both front and back covers. I got this at a local mom and pop shop in Long Beach Ca. I see a few threads here on CAG about Suikoden, so when I saw it I picked it up, did I do pretty good?

^^Not bad if you intend on playing the game and enjoying it, like you should. But if you want to sell it, the lack of original case and manual pretty much halve it's value.

I don't intend on selling it, I'm just wondering if I overpaid or got a good bargain for it considering it's condition(used, missing booklet). I know Suikoden II is the more sought after game.

I got my copy of Suikoden 1 for free because my friend lent it to me and told me I could keep it. I can't remember if it has a manual or not, though. I've never played it, but it's definitely on the list, and I don't intend on selling it.

About 2 (maybe 3) years ago, I bought my Sukioden 1 at a card shop for 6 dollars, complete and in very good shape. At the time, I didn't really know what it was or that it might possibly be worth more than 6 bucks, I just knew it was RPG-vein and was curious. Plus I used to see it constantly at a Fred Meyer near me and had always passed on it. It wasn't until 6 or so months ago that I found a copy at Gamestop marked $30 that it occured to me I got a good price. :p

I think it's a great deal because both of those games are well worth the $80 in gameplay. I found a mint, complete copy of Suikoden for $15 at a local mom/pop store and a kind person on CAG let me borrow Suikoden II. They are now amoung my favorite games. Enjoy them.
