Fired for showing Bush...

Just a fucking idiot trying to make waves and he got them. They told him to change, he refused and he got fired for it.

Kind of a non-story.

I can already picture what happened in my mind. Guy hears that Obama is coming into town, decides to get all decked out in the colors of his favorite team. Boss sees dummy trying to get some attention and tells him to lose the hat and turn the sweatshirt inside out. Guy goes apeshit "i don't see why i have to do that, this is a aircraft carrier, this isn't political, this is america, FREEDOM OF EXPRESSION blah blah blah, escalation escalation escalation". Boss gets sick of his shit, tells him to get the fuck out. Guy escalates the situation even further, boss tells him not to come back. Guy realizes he blew up his spot, runs to the media in the hopes that public opinion will get it back.

Dude has to be a complete idiot if he didn't realize that was going to cause issues.

And I say kind of because if you think about it, both are attention whores. One got fired for being it at his job. One got physically attacked for being at a rally.

Yeah it was an attempt to cause controversy and that would reflect poorly on the business. Heck, the iPhone is crap ads would have never been linked to Best Buy and that guy got canned.

I saw that video this morning before you posted it and it's one of the more appalling things I've seen in a long time.
 
Yeah dumb move. I feel bad for the guy, he doesn't seem like the brigtest bulb in the bunch and I'm guessing he didn't think it through. He has a fair point - it's nothing to get fired over.

Sporadic's posting is more shocking. Is that what Tea Party political discourse has come to? Curb stomping folks you disagree with?

He is wearing a hat and a sweatshirt for the aircraft carrier his son is serving on. He is a fucking stage hand, its not like he is infront of the camera giving the weather report or anything, the guy is behind the scenes manual labor and nothing more. I bet if there was a obama carrier and his son was on it and he wore that shirt no one would say anything.

Thats just really sad, petty and pathetic to make him take it off and then fire him over that.

You can tell by listening to him he wasnt trying to get attention or looking for a reason to get fired so he could throw a fit. He actually sounded upset about it and I dont blame him.

So, it was just a coincidence that he wore both those items on the same day Obama was showing up? It didn't cross his mind once that people would think that a hat/sweatshirt combo with giant GEORGE H.W BUSH all over at a Obama rally would be perceived as political? And if he wasn't trying to make a big stink about it, why wouldn't he just take them off when requested?

They told him to take it off, he refused and was fired for that. Not for wearing the stuff but refusing to take it off when requested by his boss.
 
These videos are why I don't go outside unless I have to. The other thing that bothers me a lot is these are full grow adults...

Feel bad for the guy. Fired for shitty reasons. SHouldn't have been fired IMO.

Look for this guy to be featured prominently and repeatedly on FOX News/conservoblogs.
