I updated Firefox to 3.5.2 today. After it relaunched my browser I went into my bookmarks and about 80% of them are gone while others that were deleted more than a year ago are suddenly back. Has anyone else had similar or other problems with the update?

3.5.2 is working fine but I noticed that my 'add block' plug in is no longer blocking all of the adds... but I don't think that is a firefox problem.
Addblock doesn't work as well anymore, now that they stopped developing a particular component.

I've no problems. Any odd add-ons you used?
None that I know of. I lost more than 100 bookmarks so I'm really hoping there will be some kind of patch that might restore them.

You may want to go and pull your bookmarks backup file out of your profile for firefox. You should be able to restore them from there. They keep a 7 day backup.

Firefox has hung up on me after closing. It's odd. I close it , but next time I go to open it, it says the program is running and sure enough, there it is in the Task Manager.

I don't know if it's Firefox related, but Gmail has been insanely slow on my machine. Works fine on my Mac though, which is running an older version of Firefox.

Posting here in the Quick Reply box, sometimes after clicking "Post", the message disappears and it sits there looking like it's still loading assets on the page.

Finally, sometimes when I drag links up to the address bar, it "freezes" up there. I can't close windows, but I can scroll up and down pages and through tabs using the wheel.

Most likely an old plug-in messing with things or what?

At the risk of sounding like an idiot, where do I find the Firefox profile?

I use Firefox at work and its been really slow ever since the update. I'm not happy with it right now.

So OP, you are not the only one.

BTW, I use Firefox on the Mac at work.

I posted my problem on their forum so I'll see what happens. If anyone still has suggestions I'm open to them.

Xevious, someone on Mozilla's boards had their bookmarks wiped out too. They're on Mac OS X 10.4.11. Be careful...

For a little while now, Firefox will randomly crash even when I've been away from my computer I'll come back to a message that it needs to close or restart. I also can't seem to load espn.com without it freezing and then I have to alt+ctrl+del to shut it down.

Now I can't even open a Firefox window at all. Not a minimized one, I can't open a new one clicking on the desktop icon, nothing. Mozilla is starting to piss me off.

On the flipside, IE hasn't worked for me in about a year.. simply won't load any web pages 99.99999% of the time.

Try Adblock Plus - it works much better, and updates itself automatically with the EasyList filters.

Firefox (Windows) has been exceptionally slow. Gmail is hit or miss on loading up messages. I have problems posting here. I hope this gets squared away soon.
