Hey everyone,
My mom wanted to get a laptop for her to have in the kitchen so she could read recipes online and stuff. I had an old Dell that I no longer was using so I went ahead and gave it to her. When I went to turn it on, it came up with BSODs every time. I figured since it was old, I might as well just reformat and start from scratch. After I did, my gf reminded me that we still had photos from 2 vacations (no, nothing weird or bad!) on it as well as numerous documents from college. I didn't really care about the documents since I've graduated, but the pictures from our first vacation are kinda important.
I bought and downloaded "Recover My Files" and it did ok. Unfortunately, many of the recovered pictures are not opening (yes there is data present as verified by the info) due to corruption or open only half a picture with nothing on the bottom half.
I was wondering, is there any way to fix the corrupted/broken pictures? I don't care if there's a program that costs money, I just want them back for her.
Thanks in advance for any help!
Dave
