Florida No Tax Week 7/25/04-8/1/04, and 8 cents discount on gas for August

For those of us lucky enough to live in Florida:

No sales tax on clothes and other stuff, sorry no VG or electronics:

CT use to do this. They stopped though. Its a cool idea, but not very practical. it was suppose to help families clothe their kids for school time. I think the linit was somethining like $200 an item. Who the hell spends up to $200 for one piece of clothing for their kid? I use to buy dress shirts, ties, and slacks during this sale.

Picked up some Ralph Lauren (did i spell it right?) polo shorts for like $23 each. One was on sale and the other actually wasn't really on sale. They gave me the on sale price though since they "misadvertised". Saved me like 12 dollars. Plus, there's no tax.....
