For those that tried to get in on the Wii Lightning Deals today and got an error

Check the lightning deals page and see if the text by the item you wanted says Claimed or All Discounts Claimed. If it says Claimed, congrats, add the item to your cart and you should be able to get the discounted price from earlier. If it says All Discounts Claimed, then you did indeed miss out, sorry.

I know mods might find this post to be a repeat. If so, I guess feel free to merge it into the big thread, though ideally this info would be added to the OP of that thread with the thread title changed or something.

Many CAGers have later found out that they were able to get in on this deal after the fact due to the confusion of how the claiming process works. Unfortunately, this info is buried in the big thread and nobody has edited the OP of that thread to alert bummed CAGs of their possible second chance at the deal. Hopefully this will help some CAGers out and bring them a small amount of joy.

BTW, I take no credit for figuring this out. Several posters in the big thread have tried to alert others of this, and with some success. I'm just hoping to alert more folk.

MP3 is showing as simply "Claimed" but when added, it is at the full price.

You need to continue all the way through the checkout process until you get to the pre-confirmation page where you see your shipping options, total price and credit card information on the screen (the last chance to back out before you purchase). On the right side where it shows the price of the item, you should see a reduction down to the Gold Box price. You won't see it by just adding it to your cart.

If you normally use prime, set it to FREE shipping until you confirm the discount is on your order then you can always upgrade to prime after the order is placed and you are sure you will get the discount.

I added MPC and got the lightening deal im my cart. I did not know I got it and I PP'd a CAG $35 for it. Since it is still in my cart, I can get it delivered to someone for $35. PM me if you want it.

oh wow. Word, lol i was upset i didnt get MP3. Thanks for your post man. I called amazon and complained about the glitch, and they gave me a 7.00$ off my next order, so i just got mp3 for 23 shipped. w00t.
