I can't access my pre-orders or past orders as before under my old account info. I swear the format wasn't like this yesterday morning when I placed an order. I think now you have to create a username for an account, where before, your email addy was your "username".
 
Yeah, from what I heard in my local EB they just finished updating prices across the entire store and the website itself was merged with GameStop's as of yesterday. It's a pretty bad transition, especially website-wise, but I'm just glad I didn't have any open orders as of late or I would have been furious.

Shame, though. When I get a free moment I may fire off a snail-mail letter to EB/GS about the overall "quality" of the GS-style of the site but aside from that...
 
My Phoenix Wright and Indigo Prophecy bookmarks still seem to work. But does this mean the end of morning updates?

So much for my account history. I guess I'll have to keep all my emails to make sure the history is maintained. All my GS.com stuff is still there, oddly enough. :roll: :roll:
 
What a headache. I now can't access my EB account at all, and they claim they have no record of an account with my email address. I hope this gets ironed out very soon--I've got me a Beatmania on order from EB!

That's a huge hit. I've never ordered from Gamestop.com because of that, and bout just about everything used form EBgames.com (CAG15 + Edge!). This stinks.

I did get Kameo used and luckily got everything in very good shape.
 
It's pretty sad. I went in their for some n64 games and they had snow board kids 1 (7.99) and 2 (9.99), both were marked as such and yet hey rang up 16.99 and 17.99 each. Luckily the EB guy adjusted the price, but damn that was crazy.
 
Holy crap, I'm way behind when it comes to EB or GS. When did they stop making it so you can't use gift cards online?
Yeah, I noticed my past orders went poof too. I want EB back!
 
I noticed this last night. It sucks. Where the hell is my account info?...and the wishlist is gone too, I liked that thing.

Only pre-order I had was/have is Zelda: Twilight Princess w/ free overnight though (since Jan. 2005).

edit: I decided to email them and told them what I thought, sorta. I wasn't that mean about it.
 
I'm very upset that my account information is gone. I had a nice wishlist so I could keep track of games that I wanted and now it's gone.
I can't believe they'd just delete accounts without even a notice.

I am in the same fucking situation. I placed that shit on preorder back in 11/9/2005 when it was $49.99.

If I don't get the order to go through, I'm hoping Target gets it because one of my friends can get about 15% off.
 
I hate this merger. My only hope is that the merger causes some of the shitty stores to close. I went to two different stores today within 2 blocks of each other. One store was nice and clean with great customer service. The other was run by teenagers (or so it seemed) who were rude and wouldn't even let me touch some of the used merchandise to see its condition. But then again, the merger could cause the better store to close...ugggghhh, I hate the merger.
 
Ebgames.com stopped selling used nes/snes/gen/n64 games? When did that happen?

Oh nevermind, they're just not in the main Platforms dropdown box. That's poor design.

Actually, it looks like I was right. The only N64 stuff they have is some hardware. I'm not seeing any classic games at all.
 
TRU closed. BB and CC suck. Target has nothing, and no one to help. EB.com was the one last place I would buy games from and now it's shit like GS. :(

Man, I hate the feeling that you get when good things end and will never come back. I guess I better start checking out Gamecrazys. I've never even been inside one before.
 
I recently checked out ebgames.com and the layout, games, etc are now exactly the same as gamestop.com. Yes, I know about the buyout, but ebgames obvioulsy had the better interface. This really sux. Is there even a point to having both sites bookmarked anymore?
 
EBgames hasn't changed their site. Gamestop has. I think you switched some names in your post. :p
I don't really see the problem with this as long as Gamestop still has those daily deals.
 
i can not for the life of me figure out how to just browse the used ds and gamecube games on ebgames site. I tried doing the seach and set the condition for used games. I typed in "nintendo ds" and or "gamecube" and it only brings up hardware, which is stupid since i set it for used games. if someone could link to just the used gamecube and ds games, i will bookmark it
 
well i have made up my mind that i will no longer order games from ebgames. you are only able to use one coupon and no edge card. I am going to call customer service tomorrow and complain as i paid to use the card online and now i can't.
I guess this is the end of an era.
 
I was going to buy an Egde card too, but I figured this would happen.

This is complete shit the governemnt shouldn't have let the two comanies merged.
 
My card expires in like three months, and last time i was in to eb, the clerks tried to get me to renew it, and I asked if this was going to happen. They reassured me that it wouldn't and that gamestop was going to take ebgames inventory system. The Eb guy said that we would be able to use the edge card on both ebgames.com and gamestop.com. but i guess as always, someone from eb was full of it.

Yeah... I mean, it is somewhat valid, as outside of GameCrazy (which isn't nearly comparable in size) and independent/regional stores, there really isn't any competition in the specialty gaming stores. But either they looked into it and didn't find a problem, or the SEC doesn't understand the gaming industry and figured BB/CC etc were competition for GS.
 
I've already posted my woes of this. I still have two games on pre-order and I can't log in through my old ebgames.com account, when I had another account on gamestop. If I don't see my Farcry getting shipped this week im going to call them.
 
no kidding, at least i bought a group of those 2 dollar dreamcast controllers, with saver, cag15, and my edge. I guess it was a last little fling. even though i didn't know it at the time.

Is it only me that thinks the entire site runs very slow now?
 
Oh man, they'd better not adopt Gamestop's policy of international shipping (you can have games shipped internationally, but you have to ORDER them from inside the US :shock: ), or else I'm screwed for US releases!
 
Bloody hell. My ebgames account is gone, along with the 9.99 Warhammer: Mark of Chaos preorder. It's completely not in the system. Looks like I'm gonna have to call them and get this straightened out. Even if I dont get the WH again, I do not want them having my CC# with this ambiguity

Wow. I completely forgot about the $9.99 Warhammer "deal." I'm guessing now they won't be losing so much money on that.

If they check your ISP and IP to see if you're out of the country, just use a proxie from the USA? :D
