Fossil Fighters?

When I first heard of the title , it didn't sound very appealing , but after watching the gameplay video I'm kinda intrigued. Looks like an interesting spin on the pokemon formula.
 
This game is currently available for Download Play through the Wii console. I downloaded it this evening. What's really silly is that the part of the game they give you to download is the Cleaning part, which is fossil cleaning. It reminds me quite a lot of mining for fossils in Spectrobes. The demo allows you to use three tools: a hammer, an xray, and a drill. You use the hammer to break big chunks of the fossil rock, the drill for fine detail, and the xray to see the fossil underneathe.

It was amusing and light-hearted enough, certainly. Not hard to complete successfully. I'm intrigued by the game, but this demo certainly didn't win me over. Seriously, wouldn't it have made sense for the demo to have something to do with battling dinosaurs in a game called Fossil Fighters?

i got this off gamefly for 20 shipped.. its an okay game.. a lot of cleaning little battle....


it depends more on cleaning then grinding since Grinding will only give you a 1 exp and it takes like 50 exp to upgrade... i think dinos are capped at level 12

you need to just keep going back to the same places over and over and over...

cute game (half way though right now at 12 hours)
 
It's ok. Sadly, these pseudo-rpg games always hold my attention for like 10-15 hours, which unfortunately doesn't seem to be long enough to beat this. But then again, when you cna put in 15 minutes here and 30 minutes there (waiting for docs/waiting for car repairs, etc), it is an entertaining little pokemon wannabe.

I give it a 6.5/10.
 
I beat the game over the weekend

30 hours 15 mins not counting the post game stuff or trying to get all 100 dinos ... good game

very easy but it was fun while it lasted
