Found Suikoden 2 at an EB...

...but it was incomplete, disk only. I bought it anyways just because it was still so hard to come by, price for it was 44.99 or so. Does anyone think it is worth that price? I have 14 days to return it if I start to feel that I got ripped off. Or would be better selling in on eBay? The disk is pretty scratched up but nothing deep, I can always get it resurfaced at a Game Crazy or something. Any input would be much appreciated. Thanks!
 
If you are not planning to play it, look up the disc only price on ebay and see if the resell value is good enough for you.
 
I paid $59.99 for my disc-only copy from GameStop... the moment I started playing I knew it was worth the money.

Mine wasn't scratched that badly though. Just a few light scratch marks.
 
Yup, I bought it to collect. I played and beaten the game before but I didn't own it. So I wanted to track one down for myself without spending 100+ on eBay. I have 2 weeks to return the game to get my money back, so I was just wondering maybe I can make a profit or something by selling it on eBay. Anyone out there wanna give/sell me a Suikoden II case with instructions? ^_^
 
You could sell it to somone who hasn't had the joy of playing it for a really cheap price. Say, someone like ... well, someone like me.
 
From what I heard, this is a good deal. Is the game all that worth it? My sister's boyfriend has them all, and I may want to borrow one.
 
Seems like a rip off to me. I really love the game, but for a disc only copy that is way expensive. I know ebay prices blah blah blah, but I would still never pay that much.
 
45? i would have pass, but ive had the game since it came out^^

if you dont have suiko 2 and want to play it, i guess thats a decent price, youll be able to play it and get your money back on ebay for it.
 
A tad expensive IMO, since I bought a complete Suiko II for $54 @ GS. But the game itself is totally worth it if you're going to play. Collecting...maybe not so much.
 
I would keep the one you have now since it's so hard to find, but be on the lookout for a complete copy. Once you get your complete copy go ahead and sell this one.
 
I picked up a copy yesterday at a pawn shop. It included the jewel case and the back/spine art insert, but was missing the manual. The disk was not in very good shape. Seems someone used a GameDoctor resurfacing machine on it. I'm going to take it to GameCrazy today and see if they can fix it with their professional unit. I've had good luck with this strategy in the past. Get this. I only paid $6.00 for it! It was worth the gamble to see if I can salvage the game. I'll post an update later whether it worked or not. I've got my fingers crossed. If it does work, all I need to do is find the manual at some time in the future.

Looking on ebay, the disc only copies are going for $30-$25. So you might want to take it back to EB and get your money back. Even $45 is a tad pricey for a disc only game.

those were the only 2 incomplete suikoden auctions i could find, and as you can clearly see, they are well above the prices you stated, feel free to proove me wrong, but i dont think you can.
 
A few weeks ago I got a disc only copy at gamestop that basiclly have no scratch for $55. I am keeping it because i could at least break even by selling it on ebay.

HELL NAH! for $25-$30! You trippin'! Disc only should run for $60-$70 on EBAY.

Just keep the disc if I were you. You just miss out an auction @ ebay. Someone was selling a manual and insert case w/ no disk for suikoden 2. I think It was sold for $40.
 
I bought my disc only copy from Funcoland for $12 and sold it for about $100. This was a while ago though and after I had beat the game 3 times. I'm not sure if you can get a $100 for a disc only copy anymore.
 
Thanks everyone, at least I know I can make some profit by ebaying if I can't find a case and manual for it. I'll probably take Josef's advice and just keep it til I come across a complete copy.
