Right meow a few Angry Birds games
are free on the Windows Phone 8 Marketplace! I have no idea why. The following games are free in U.S. They might still be free in other countries or different AB/CtR games are free.

Angry Birds
Star War
Star Wars 2
Rio
Cut the Rope Exp.

Hey thanks bob, I grabbed them. I doubt they were free by accident because it was on front page in games store stated FREE.

 
Are these the full versions or are they the usual free ad supported versions that are found on other platforms?

Cut the Rope Exp. free also. Note that these are free for U.S. Some countries have other Angry Birds or original Cut the Rope free. Little something for everyone.
 
Thanks for the info OP.  I already bought the first Star Wars but I'm downloading all the rest.  From what I just read on another site some random apps are free as well and pretty much every Rovio game is free somewhere so if your region doesn't show these ones check the other AB games and Amazing Alex and you might have those free.

On another note while looking for other free games I noticed the Assassins Creed game has been relisted in the marketplace for 99 cents.
