If you sign up for the Old Country Buffet email list you will receive an email coupon for a BOGO free meal, and then another free meal on your birthday and wedding anniversary.

Yes, this has been confirmed as BOGO for a meal. Which is still much better than the $1 off coupons they usually offer and does not, as claimed in one clever post in this thread, make it especially homosexual.

If you don't know anyone else to use the BOGO with, maybe you can find a hobo with one of those cute polka-dot sacks on a stick to treat to dinner.

I'm in college. There's no such thing as crappy food. I'm in soon as someone verifies it works.

hmm our old country buffet was changed to a hometown buffet... but i actually did like old country buffet

They're all the same company. If the coupon ever shows up, it should be good at these places:

Fire Mountain
Ryans Steakhouse
Country Buffet
Home Town Buffet
Old Country Buffet
I don't know if this will pan out or not, but if you sign up for the Old Country Buffet email list the claim is that you will receive an email coupon sometime today for a free meal, and then another free meal on your birthday and wedding anniversary.
When I signed up earlier in December, the confirmation page said I'd receive my reward later in January, so it might take a few weeks -- if not a month or more -- for anything to arrive. Nothing on my end yet.

it's gay. it's a BOGO, dinner is $12. fuck that. good thing my neighbor is the manager of the local HTB. $3 = dinner for two.

I got mine yesterday. They're not quite as good as Golden corral, but my grandma and I like going there, so this coupon will do us some good.

Figures, I had lunch there yesterday.

Signed up anyway.

Besides, with 3 teenage boys, quantity wins out over quality a lot of times.

Same here, but I was young.

Once they changed the name it seemed like it went to hell. They no longer let you get your own ice cream, they did if for you! That was terrible and the last tiem I went.

I signed up today, the 4th, and they said I would get the coupon 01-03-07... idiots...

I actually got the e-mail the other day as well, so I guess that's when they decided to roll out the coupons. Mine expires 1/17/08, so you've only got two weeks to use it. BOGO on adult buffet meals (Monday thru Saturday only) isn't that bad, as it's the best non-employee discount I've seen distributed by (snail) mail. Still, some Buffets are apparently better than others, so I'll try to get some mileage out of this at an upper-class suburban location.

I'm signing up to do this at Fire Mountain. Our Old Country Buffet got way overpriced and then closed down a few months later, but there's still a Fire Mountain nearby that isn't half bad.
