Free online games better than console games.

The free online games at lmpd.com's and adultswim.com's arcades have become more appealing to me than current generation offerings.

While I don't usually recommend hanging around cop sites, they have a good collection of games that are scattered elsewhere.

The games I have played the most are Amateur Surgeon, Fairway to Hell, 7 Deadly Sins, The Last Stand, Defender (Tower Defense variation), Sinjid: Shadow of Ninja and 13 Days in Hell.

Have I become too old or too cheap for this generation OR am I smart for avoiding the hassle of expensive and fragile consoles, multiple accessories, monthly subscriptions for online play and games that don't live up to the hype?

That I feel as I do or that the current generation game consoles aren't good enough to warrant their expenses?

The former is a symptom of the latter.

I love the current generation myself. Probably having the most fun with gaming that I've had since the 16 bit generation and maybe even enjoying it more. And I turn 30 soon, so it's not that I'm younger and find it appealing for that reason.

I'll check out some of those games sometime though, always good to have something to do if I need a break at work.

Also, why is this in Vs. rather than General Gaming?

Because we're supposed to argue about it.

That being said. You're wrong. You've enjoyed gaming less with each subsequent generation of gaming systems. You're just in denial. BWAHAHAHAHA!

I had. Until the 360. It's rekindled my interest in gaming, which had definitel dwindled each of the past two generations. Part of it it was just giving up on genres like platformers, JRPGs, Nintendo franchises etc. that I'd been sick of after playing since the mid 1980s and playing more FPS and western RPGs which I'd not given much of a chance in the past.

I still don't play as much as I did in the past, but that's just do to obviously having a lot less free time as I did as kid during the 8 bit and 16 bit generations rather than lack of games I want to play.

I pretty much ditto dmaul.

The 360 has breathed new life into my gaming lifestyle that I haven't felt since the early 90's.

Edit: Don't worry, Bob Barr will resolve everything in the OP, if you vote for him.
