Free slurpees at 7-11 on 7/11

I was listening to the radio this morning (Krock, WXRK-NY) and I heard an ad announcing that they would be giving free slurpees at all 7-11 stores nation-wide on 7/11/05. The ad made no mention of any requirements to get said slurpee, but, if you're in the neighborhood of a 7-11 and need something to cool off, here's a cheap solution.

Man oh man talk about a cheap publicity stunt. ;)

Too bad there is no 7/11 in my area, otherwise I'd be all over this faster than a pack of CAG whores to a CC $4.99 sale. ;)
 
nice, thanks OP, i tried 2 redeem my halo 2 LE coupon like 2 weeks back...i havent had a slurpee in like 3 yrs..i went 2 my 7-11 with a friend, adn like..it was swarming with cops, there was chalk on the floor and police tape all over..i was like..WHY NOW!!..but i think its opened again :)!
 
I got one of their "free slurpees" last week. What a joke. It was the baby size which is only enough to make you want to buy a bigger one. I think they are doing this because of the 40 th birthday of the slurpee or something.

actually, they do it every year on the date of 7/11 :D they tend to switch up the prices though. a few years ago, i had to pay 7 cents for their smallest size cup of slurpee. a year after that, i paid 11 cents for their smallest size, and the year after that, it was free for this TINY (thimble-sized LOL) cup of slurpee.
 
our last 7-11 closed down after being robbed 3 times in 2 months. Man i used to love 7-11 i remember 20 years ago standing in one of those places for hours playing video games and gluping down slurpees
