FreeAgent 500GB drive - opinions?

Thinking about grabbing one to store all of movies and vids on to free up space on my internal drive. Also, so I can watch movies on my TV through my PS3 without having to stream (resource hog and stuttering).

Thoughts? Or is there a better way I could spend $100?

I own one and got it last year. I have no regrets about it. Sometimes I've left it on for weeks and no problems that I've seen. There is a yellow light (line) that shows when used. Not sure if the light is still there on "newer" models though. But shouldn't be a problem if you face it away from you. The light turns off when not in use. I want to get another one but I'm debating if I want to get a more portable one when I visit my friends houses and whatnot.
