I took my last semester of French last Fall, but I'd still desire to keep learning the language. I thought that an easy way to do so would be to find some French Forums to look through. That way, not only am I learning new vocab, but colloquialisms and idioms as well. Does anyone know of any good and large forums that I could look through?

I took 3 years of french. I got 1 B, 1 F, and a a few C's and a lot of D's. I even got 10 extra points (they only had one class and no alternative to kids who did poorly so they gave them extra points, only 2 kids out of 50 got them) and I still failed. I suck at languages and did essentially the same when I had to take latin (2 years). So, uh, maybe I shouldn't be in here.

I took French for five and half years, got an A+ my final year, in AP French, and I hate it. Now I am taking Japanese in college, and I love it. So maybe I shouldn't be in here either.

Anyone? This would be extremely helpful.[/QUOTE]
You go to college? If so take classes until you have 6-9 credit hours logged in French (Normally FR 101-102 and you start taking 201) and look into Studying Abroad when you start your second semester. I am taking Spanish and I love it. I just started my second semester and might go to Costa Rica this summer.

I took 4 semesters of French 101-104. I'm a senior so I have no years to waste studying abroad.

Go to a community college and ask about it. Its really the best way to learn and you can do it any time. You dont even have to be at that school most of the time.

I did pretty well in French finishing the highest two classes that were French IV Literature AP and French IV Language AP. I'm currently subscribed to a French Podcast...not sure of the name right now. So far it's been conversational skills, but I'm quite certain it covers a broad range of topics. It's even got transcripts for download.

Do you not understand? I've already surpassed most levels of French offered at community colleges (I'm a senior in College, not high school).
