For those of you who preordered from FYE, they will not be filled. I apologize if this was posted in another forum. I searched, but did not find this already under it's own topic.

The manager called me and stated that they will get zero, nada, ps3's.

This particularly sucks for all those ebayers out their who went waaaaay back in dec. and also those that posted their FYE preorders online to sell on Ebay as NONE of them will be honored.

They stated they got 18 xbox 360's, but a whopping ZERO ps3's. Unreal. This is awesome for all of us who are ebaying, but kinda sucks for anyone banking onthat preorder.
 
That's horrible. I wonder if applies to your local FYE only or the whole chain. I don't know if my local FYE was doing pre-orders or not but they stopped selling games within the last few months so I wonder if those with pre-orders there are not getting it as well.

I never really considered FYE as a good source for games (especially on time) and the only time I pre-ordered a system there was the DS since I had hundreds of dollars of trade in credit at the time so it made sense to get it there. Thankfully they had it in on launch.
 
This applies to the WHOLE chain. I've emailed multiple ebay sellers w/ fye preorder sales, and they've all been cancelled. I've never seen anything this extreme. There are literally NO ps3's around at all. This is gonna get ugly.
 
huh. The manager that called me about my preorder said they were getting two, if I heard him right.

My #1 Wii preorder is being filled, provided I buy one game and one accessory. Its already been given away to a friend.
 
I just called my FYE (have a backup-of-a-backup preorder with them, #3). They had just checked today, and they still have no idea how many Wii systems they'll be getting. Assuming my other plans work, I'll likely head up their next week and just get a refund. It seemed like a pretty hack-job place; I can't say this information (or lack thereof) pertains to the whole chain.
 
Just confirmed that they will be getting Wiis--I'm #3 on my list and the guy said that they will have plenty to cover the preorders.
 
I just called my FYE today and they said they were getting zero Wii's for launch date on Sunday. I was kind of pissed, but it wasn't really that unexpected.

I number 2 on the list and now I'm torn on whether I should wait and hope they get in a single shipment before X-mas or should I go wait in line at the Target or Toys R Us by my house.
