I was wondering about Game Crazy's trade-in credit. If you have an MVP membership, I know that they store within a particular store's computer how much store credit that you have. Can you use that credit at another Game Crazy? Can I put the store credit on a gift card or something? Also, similarly, can I use my MVP account/phone-number at another Game Crazy that isn't my home Game Crazy...by simply telling them my phone-number. Does anyone know? Thanks in advance.

I used to be an employee at GameCrazy, so some of my answers may be out of date. When I was working you were only able to use your credit at the store where you traded the games in at. However you were able to use the credit to "buy" a Gift Card, allowing you to use credit at other stores. For the other question, yes you are able to use your MVP membership at other stores. They just need the same info to make an account that you used at your first store. If your MVP doesn't pop up just have the store call the other store where you bought the MVP.

Yes, but YMMV. Some stores are so low-profit that they like to keep the store credit in that store. It's at the manager's discretion. Also, if they tell you to keep it in that specific store and you see something at another store, ask if they can do a store-to-store transfer.

Memberships are done by telephone number. If you give them the same phone number and driver's license when setting up an account, the MVP should pop right up. If it doesn't, ask them to call your home store and get the member information from there.

Don't they have some goofy restriction like only being able to put certain increments on gift cards? (might just be dollar increments, which isn't a big deal)

Yeah, for whatever reason you can't add change to a gift card. So if you got $68.37 worth of trade credit, the computer can only add $68.00 to a gift card, leaving you with $0.37 in that stores computer. Very odd system they have there.

Heh, your answers look cleaner, and you added some info, so it's all good!
