Game Rush Kicks EB Games ASS!!!!

I wanted to trade in 3 games at EB games yesterday so I could get StarWars Battle Front. I asked how much I can get for my games. He said he can give me a trade in value of $22.50 for all 3 games at EB Games. A Game Rush just recently opened up about 5 miles away, so I walked out disgusted again with games in hand, and decided to try the Game Rush. After taking my games to Game Rush, I had a trade in credit of $35.00...but wait.....if you traded in 3 games you got a $5.00 credit for EACH of the 3 games!!!! So I ended up with $50.00 credit!!!! So I bought a new copy of StarWars Battle Front, and with the money I have saved at Game Rush, 2 used XBOX games.($9.99 each Buffy, and Fatal Frame) When I took them to the counter, he rang up the two games and gave me 50% off of the second game. So I got those two games for $15.00!!! Totally Freaking Amazing!!! I love Game Rush! After my preorder for Halo 2 is done, I will only do buiness with Game Rush!!!
 
They do, except in one key area: LOCATIONS.

Come on Blockbuster, how about opening some more of these places, damnit!
 
Back when I used to trade in games, I called EB and Gamestop for quotes, and EB historically has the lowest trade in, though normally only slightly. However, in my shopping for used games, particularly at the low end (> 9.99), Gamestop also has higher prices.

Doesnt EB currently have a promotion until sometime in October where you get $5 credit added to each X games traded in? If so, he really shouldve mentioned it.

If so, he really shouldve mentioned it.[/quote] Trade in 5 games, get an extra $20 in credit (on top of the normal trade-in credit you would get). So it's like $4 extra per game. Or trade in 4 games for $15 extra, or 3 for $10 extra. It ends October 2nd I think.
 
Yes, it does kick ass. I just traded in 7 games from the $5 CC sale (and a few TRU games...so total maybe $50 out of my pocket)

Anyways, traded them in got $112 credit.

However, the guy screwed up and rang up the wrong games so I had to get him to fix it. Anyways, I ended AFTER the preorderds with $102 still on my GIFT CARD!!!!!

I also went and picked up SW:Battlefront with my GC the next day and used a $10off couopn I had. So I still have over $60 on my GiftCard.

Thus, I'm getting MK:Deception, ESPN 2K5, SW:Battlefront and one or two more games!

I wish one would open in my area. From the sounds of things I have heard of here, they give outrageous credit. Unfortunetly, I don't know how long that crazy credit will last as FYE has smarted up a little by bringing down some of the high valued crappy games.

i went in with $10 i spent in games,got that back plus the extra 5 per game cuz i said it doesn't say the value matters, Got $35, used my trade 3 get 1 for 5, so i left with Jedi academy and 30 bucks,

locations are great for me, i walk out of school and it's at the edge of the parking lot, not even 100 yards away.

i've stayed away from trading stuff in because of prices, but i might start doing it more because of gamerush.
 
I think Ebgames and Game rush help each other out. I went to BB and got 3 very crappy cheap games for about 1.50 each, (more holes of golf, city crises and more outlaw vollyball. And traded them to eb with the 3 game towards Halo 2 promotion. So I am getting Halo 2 for about 24.50. On a trading to BB side I bought a used gamecube for about $50 and they gave me $65 credit for it. Eb has some good promotions but BB has really good trade in credit, so I like both of them. P.S. GAMESTOP STILL SUCKS
