gamecrazy old school sale bragging rites

I'm reserving this post for my score, which should be awesome since they let me reserve some games already.

Update:

Final Fantasy Chronicles
Dark Stalkers 3
Dance Dance Revoltion konami
Point Blank 3
Rpg maker(complete)
Tail concerto
worms armegeddon
Legend of mana

N64:
Mario Party 3

If you count them up its off, becuase they gave me Legend of mana for free. The guy there doesnt really care, he said i had over 200 dollars worth of games, i bought them for 48.71

yeah the whole point was to list what you scored. most people already scored some sweet games that are put aside.

same thing, gizmogc. let it go. its gonna be alright. judt preparing cuz im excited and when thursday comes, we can all share in the joy on this thread

why does that Illyria chick look like she's 60 years old in the bottom right of your sig? just curious, it always catches my eye :)

Appossum, that's an early prototype of an Illyria action figure. It seems when I cropped the picture, it turned to crap.

Hmmm... I applied there and got turned down
Cost- My dignity!

... ... wait... thats not funny...

there there....I always get turned down by game stores. maybe it's my whole "no retail experience" thing, but i'm not too sure :D

On hold for me (all on N64): Dr. Mario, Mario Tennis, Paper Mario, Harvest Moon, Starcraft, Cruis'n Exotica, Turok 3, Ogre Battle, and Bust A Move '99. Can't wait for Thursday.

-Championship PRO-AM (loose) - $2.99
-Rolo To The Rescue (loose) - .99 (R6 in Digital Press rarity guide)
-Granada (loose) - $1.99
-Mercs (loose) - $2.69
-Thunderforce II (loose) - $2.99
-Game Genie (complete in small box with edition 3 code book) - $4.99

Super NES
-Realm (loose) - $2.99 (R6 in Digital Press rarity guide)
-Phalanx (loose) - $1.99
-Killer Instinct (loose) - $1.99

N64
-Extreme-G 2 (loose) - .99 (mispriced - it was supposed to be $4.99 but was marked with a .99 price tag. The clerk honored it)

Heading down to the three in town Wednesday morning. Maybe I'll drag my girlfriend along with me. Hopefully I'll find some good games, and they'll be willing to put them aside for me for a day...

I just got to thinking, if you were to buy 3 $2 SNES games, will they actually bump the total to to $15?

Did I make the wrong decision to pass up raggedy copy of Megaman X2 (SNES) for $29.99 ($27 with EDGE)?

I've beaten the game when my Blockbuster was still renting SNES games (eons ago) and wondered if $30 was too much to regain a fragment of my former childhood.

Tell me I made the right/wrong decision.

What exactly is the sale that's going to happen? Not that I have a Gamecrazy anywhere near me, I'm just curious.

Marvel Vs Capcom PS1 no instructions or case
Final Fantasy Tactics PS1 complete non-GH
Skies of Arcadia- Dreamcast Complete
Paper Mario N64 cart only
Smash Bros N64 cart only
Final Fantasy NES cart only

Everything but FFT and M vs. C will be up for trade.

Well, I picked up a ton of good games. So far, I still need Paper Mario, and Mario RPG (SNES). I'll have to hit another GC later today.

How are you even getting games? The sale hasn't started yet.

He probably just means that he has the games on hold until tomorrow.
Games on hold. The Mananger was my old Assistant Manager. I get what I want, when I want.
I've got on hold Suikoden II, Guilty Gear, and Thousand Arms for Playstation, all complete with manuals. They also have a GH Castlevania:SOTN, Tetris/Dr. Mario for SNES, and The New Tetris for N64 that I'm thinking of picking up.

i have 5 gamecrazy's within half an hour of my place, i jes checked one yesterday and they held for me: shining force(cart mint),kirby 64(complete like new),buster bros (complete like new). its gonna be a fun day except dam i have a cal2 test that day shit, dont know if i should go before or after school
Suikoden II? Nice find!
Yeah, I about passed out when I saw it on the shelf. Of all the games I was hoping to maybe find with this sale, I never thought I'd find that.

Watch tomorrow they change the rules and we dont get nothing.

already check here and the person was nice enough to print out a list of what games they had for ps1. either they dont have nothing or the people working there already wipe out the good games. NO RPGS what so ever. couldnt take the list with you but there was really nothing on the list that i would need. IM going to go back tomorrow to another 2 stores and see if they got anything and to pick up the other 2 games i got on hold at another store. (I wonder if they really hold them cause they tried to sell me a few games that was being held when i asked if they had the games)

For 30? Probably not. I read somewhere that a Megaman X Collection would be arriving at some point. If that ends up not happening, then theres always ebay.

wow i cant believe an employee tried selling a game on hold, id never do that unless it was on hold by some dousche customer. ya know, the ones that preorder every game but never pick up one.

N64
Starcraft
Paper Mario
Mario 64

SNES
Castlevania 4
Contra 3
Super Star Wars
Tetris 2
Saturday Night Slamasters
Zelda

i landed among other things, mario rpg, parasite eve ii, thousand arms, darkstalkers 3, and diablo. i was disappointed cuz some games I really wanted like the point blank series were on hold for employees. But I can't complain

Got to GC when it opened, but being the complete MORON I am, I forgot my games list at home, but I came in with the intention of fattening up my Dreamcast library and scoring a few higher prices N64 games. So I pretty much blanked out and forgot to ask about Kirby 64, Starfox 64, and Dr. Mario 64. If I'm in the area I'll drop by again to pick those up, but I doubt they'll have them. Anyhow, the only games they didn't have (to my disappointment) were Starcraft 64 and Harvest Moon 64. And the employee freaked me out when he had to call another place to see if games over 29.99 were allowed in the deal (they were). But here's what I got:

N64:
Paper Mario
Ridge Racer
Super Smash Bros
Ogre Battle
Mario Party 3 (decided not to splurge and get the whole series)

Dreamcast:
Grandia II
Sonic Adventure 2
Mat Hoffman's Pro BMX (to even out the numbers)
Outtrigger
Power Stone (!!)
Soul Calibur
Dead or Alive 2
House of the Dead 2
Star Wars Episode I Racer

All the Dreamcast stuff is complete, and I don't feel too bad for noticing that all those games, along with Shenmue, were in a neat little pile on the far corner of the rack. Someone must've put them there last night expecting to get them today. Early birds...

Oh, and I didn't bother buying any PS1 games since I don't have the system. They seemed pretty much cleaned out though - I looked through for the most wanted ones to see if I could score something for a fellow CAG, but nothing turned up.

Scored:

Diablo PSX
Einhander PSX
Suikoden PSX

Not bad, but only Diablo was complete, and Einhander looks like it probably won't even work.

Ok so here's what I picked up. Let me know if I made any mistakes....

PS1 (100% complete)
Gauntlet legends
Parasite Eve
Romance of the 3 Kingdoms IV
MegaMan 8
FF Tactics
RE: Survivor

PS1 (Disk Only)
Panzer Front
Tomba
Tomba 2
No one can stop Mr. Domino

N64 (cart only)
Paper Mario
Megaman 64

SNES (cart only)
Prince of Persia 2
Lufia II
Castlevania IV

Dreamcast (100% complete)
Time Stalkers
Gauntlet Legends

Saturn (100% complete)
Sonic 3D Blast

This is what I didn't buy. All disk only PS1. Should I go back?
Castlevania symphony of the night
Alunda 2
Breath of fire III

And oh by the way there was a sealed Breth of fire IV, and a sealed Gaunlet Legends both PS1 which he tried to ring up but wouldn't since they were sealed. Is this true? Are sealed PS1 not part of the sale?

Hey if anyone can find me for SNES Final 2 or 3, Super Buster Brothers or Tetris Attack I'd be more than willing to pay cash or trade.

I got there like 10:10 and some guy already was buying all the good stuff and 4 copies of paper mario, luckily he let me grab one

so i got:

the new tetris
paper mario
mario tennis
starfox 64
super mario 64
dr mario 64
crus'n usa
crus'n world
mario kart 64

they still had (when i left): bunch of dr. mario's, 3 mario karts, legend of tron bonne (psx), and a lot of SNES/N64 games. i already had all of them tho so i passed.

it's the one on stelton road in piscataway

prolly gone now, but worth a shot to check, also he was saying the computer said they had 2 more copies of paper mario, but he couldn't find them

What I picked up
N64:
Mario Kart 64
Zelda Majora's Mask
Mortal Kombat Trilogy
Mario Party 2
Paper Mario

SNES:
Secret of Mana

I was gonna grab 3 more games for trade, but I decided against it. So of the games I was looking for myself, I ended up with Mario Party 2. An older woman bought MP3 for her grandson, but I wasn't gonna fight her for it though it did cross my mind.
