Gamecube Wavebird controllers $17.99 *USED* @ Gamestop

I thought I'd pass this along for any of those looking for Gamecube Wavebird controllers to use on the Wii (or GC for those that still play games on it). I was in GS last night to pick up RE5 Collectors edition for PS3 & saw this on a rack w/ used GC games. This particular store had 3 or 4 of them. Cosmetically they appeared to be in GREAT shape.

$17.99 is actually a pretty good price considering what they are going for on ebay. We're talking on average AT LEAST a good $5-10 cheaper than ebay including shipping. I didn't see any on gamestop.com after doing a search for them...unless I was using incorrect search keywords.

Just to give you an idea, I saw a completed auction in which 2 of them together went for like $50. You can buy 2 of them @ GS for $15-$20 cheaper.

I might go back today & pick one or two up considering that they could come in handy for TvC or other awesome GC games or Wii games that use the GC controller.

They've been this price for over a year. It's just that you have to be a little lucky to find them amidst the third party wireless controllers.
 
Yeah, it has been this price for a long while, but the general problem with this is that the stock and condition is too YMMV. I have seen them here and there, but the majority of the time the controllers have something wrong with them, such as a broken button, broken d-pad, and broken analog stick, or broken camera stick. Gamestop tend to accept anything nowadays for a trade in as long as its in one piece, and sometimes, not even, so its fairly hard to find a good condition Wavebird for this price at a GS. And I've been trying for awhile.
 
theyre not so hot on ebay, they can be BIN'ed for 24 to 26 bucks... not too hot

i remember one time years ago I sold a mint condition one for 97.50 :)

but now yeah, theyre getting cheap via Buy it now.. which is kinda strange..

this is under the same sku as a busted up gamestop brand wireless controller
gc has these for 4.99 a pop and if you are patient you can get this shipped to you for 20$ from ebay
 
Saw a stack of 6 at my local Fry's about a year ago for $19.99 NIB. Still kick myself for not picking them up.

Game crazy?

Even @ $20 shipped from ebay, you're still potentially saving a couple of bucks depending on how close your GS is & what sales tax is. Whether or not it's a deal to you doesn't mean it isn't one to someone else.
