I finally bought my first gamecube from another forum. Is this a good deal?

Gamecube system
2 controllers
1 memory card
cable, etc
Legend of Zelda Collector's Edition (complete)
Metriod Prime (complete)
$100 shipped

heh, well if this says anything, I originally thought you were selling said bundle and I was going to immediately buy it. So yeah, I'd call it a deal.
 
Sounds mighty good by me. I'm guessing it's all used? It's still good, in that case, of course.

If you haven't played the Zeldas before, then Zelda Collector's Edition will keep you busy for a loooooooong time. And Prime is a modern masterpiece.

This is a bit off topic, but I seem to recall the Zelda promotional disc being a preorder bonus for Wind Waker.

Is that right? If so, jeez. Best bonus disc. Ever.
 
It all used, but he told me it was in good condition.

If I don't like Zelda:CE, I'm probably going to sell it and buy RE4 or Metriod Prime 2.
 
BNo, that Zelda collector's disc was not the wind waker bonus disc, because the wind waker bonus disc sucked and was just 2 versions of the worst zelda ever and also metroid prime sucks

Nope. Zelda Collector's Edition was available in 3 different ways: as a pack-in with the Gamecube hardware, as a subscription bonus with Nintendo Power Magazine (which is how I got mine), or by registering (I believe) 3 or so titles from a specific list.
The disc that came with The Wind Waker included both the original and previously-unreleased Master Quest versions of Zelda: Ocarina of Time.

I hope Nintendo extends this awesome trend to some other serieses. I wish that they'd have slapped an HD-enabled F-Zero X with the X-pansion Pack add-on (only available for the 64DD in Japan) onto a Gamecube disc as a bonus for F-Zero GX, but oh well. A Metroid Collection disc would be nice also...even though I have those...;)

Wow. You've obviously never played the CD-i Zeldas.

The only thing bad about it is that if something breaks, you most likely can't get your money back, unlike EB or Gamestop. But otherwise, good deal.
