Hello,

If you live in the San Jose or Santa Clara area in California, I have a platinum GameCube for sale; DOL-101 (analog AV out only). I will include a free new factory-sealed RE4 preview disc if you buy my Cube.

I purchased the GameCube this past Monday night at EB on 1/24/2005 for the MK:DD bundle. (will show receipt for proof) This is my third GameCube. I am selling because it lacks the digital AV out port, component cable port. (i'm part of the 1%'ers)

You may bid for the console with or without the controller. I have six controllers, and would prefer to keep them for multiplayer. If your bid includes a controller, it will be the jet black one. (sorry, i'm keeping the platinum version, cause it's not available separately for retail)

Looking to sell quick, cash only, South Bay - Santa Clara/San Jose, CA area. PM me with a reasonable offer, and we'll do the deal in person. I do not mind taking a small loss on this trade.

If no takers, I will most likely trade it in locally.

Thanks!

FYI, you can order the Platinum controllers retail. Those (and I think Emerald Green) were released in Japan. Check Lik-Sang or Play Asia if you're looking for a fourth.

But, I'm sure at the price of importing you could outfit yourself with a WaveBird instead -- but they do have grey reciver still. -_-

So your selling the Platinum Cube with the av cable, power cord, but no controller correct? I might be interested, what is your asking price?

Dear CouRageouS,

yes, plus new factory-sealed RE4 preview/demo disc for free, and empty GC console box with all packaging materials. make me a reasonable offer and it's all yours!

okay, how's $60 sound? the Platinum Cube is essentially only 2 days old.

small edit: Since you live in the East Bay, if you drive down here to pick up the Cube, let's just make it $55.

thanks for the free bumps fellas!

wow $60 is damn decent...I could use an extra Cube. I was considering getting a Platinum MK Bundle for awhile now, I just need to figure if another copy of MK and 2 more controllers is worth the extra $40. Give me some time to think about it and give me a heads up if you're planning to trade it in anytime soon.

Thanks! And no problem, Bro. I thought I could as least put it up for my fellow CAGers first. I already have two other Cubes; both with digital AV out. I'm in the process of setting up the MK:DD LAN on HD.

(yes, MK:DD is not progressive scan, but using the component cables improves the picture quality quite dramatically vs. composite.) So the lack of the component output is my main reason for selling this GC.

Time frame is until this Saturday 1-29-05, cause that's when I'll have time to either sell it to any CAGer, or trade it in to a store; afterwards I'll be picking up the broadband adapters.

edit: if I receive multiple offers, first one in with the earliest PM timestamp wins.

one last bump before it goes to a retail store as a trade in, or i may call up my buddy in the morning and give it to him real cheap. anyone want to take it off my hands? last chance....
Just curious, why don't you take it back? You'd get all the money back for it(so you wouldn't lose any money).
obviously you didnt read =P hes keeping the controller and Mario kart

Instead of selling it, have you called customer service as stated above? I read somewhere they will swap out your Gamecube for free with one that has the digital AV port.

thank you for the input, yes, i'm aware, but i did not want a re-manufactured one. so this afternoon i've made a final decision. the trade in would not really be of good value, so i'm giving:

1) New Platinum GameCube, DOL-101, with cables, box etc.
2) New Mario Kart:DD, factory sealed
3) New Jimmy Neutron: Attack of the Twonkies, factory sealed
4) Nintendo GC Memory Card 251, blank
5) Jet Black Controller
6) Purple/Clear Controller

all to my gf's little sister as a gift. she loves the GC, and always hogged mine. so now she can have her own, and it'll be put to better use. I'll still have 2 of my own; both with digital AV ports. everyone wins! :D :D
