Ummmm im not sure if this thing is new or not but

Gamefly is giving away free DS lites if you

refer 5 people to their website and they stay a member for 1 month...

is it legit....has anyone tried?

EDIT:so that comes down to $50 a DS lite

You can be each of them, and choose the lowest subscription and only for a month, equals out to be $60 for a DS Lite.

Still a pretty decent deal
 
It says on the T&C, that you can't hold multiple accounts, or accounts within the same house. Do you think that they'll catch on, if you get 5 Gamefly accounts to the same house?

I'd think so. Unlike Netflix, I can't even get more than one free trial from Gamefly, despite having different emails, credit cards, etc.
 
This is a good deal considering it is more legit than something like getfreedssssss.com I am going to do this. I'll just get family memebers to sign up (even the ones that dont play games) and I'll pay each of them their money back. This is frickin' sweet!!! Are you sure you only need to subscribe for a month?

Since i have family members who are gamers they're gonna do it for me for free!

So that means im gettin a DS lite 4 free YAY!

I'd hate to be picky, but I have to ask: We're probably only going to get the White DS Lite right? I've been holding off for the black one but this deal is too good to resist.

I think they either:

a) Send you a DS

or

b)give you money do buy the DS
 
I would do this, but I don't have enough freinds that would be interested and it would be too much hassle to try and convince them.
 
My problem is that I don't know enough people who'd be willing to do this, but what I'm thinking of is just signing them up but never sending out any games to them. That way I don't risk them losing games and getting my card charged for any screwups.
 
good luck. I am still contemplating. I could either spend $60 here to get the lite and get very annoyed in the process or trade in the old ds and pay $70 for the lite at eb...

I think I may be a true CAG and do gamefly. I probably wont actually rent any games though...
 
^^^Yeah i would rather waste 50 /60 bucks too and its better to

trust Gamefly than Freebie sites.

Update: So far I already got 2 of my cousins to sign up.

I sent emails to a few members of another game trading site and I just got banned from that site. It's all good though as I don't go there any more.
 
I'm trying to get through this but I don't see a membership plan cheaper than $14.95. I'm currently at the $21.95 plan for 10 days free and the only plan I can downgrade to is the $14.95 for 1 game at a time.

How can I get the $9.95 plan? And if $14.95 is the cheapest plan, where did the whole $50-$60 total for a DS Lite come from? At $14.95 for 5 accounts, we'd be paying around $75 for it.

It's $9.95 the first month for the 1 game plan for new members.

How can you get it for $9.95 though? When I try to change my account from the default 2 for $21.95, the only other option is 1 for $14.95.

I gotta know, is anybody actually seeing that option for their account? Am I the only one stuck with $14.95 as the lowest? Keep in mind this is all based on a new account.

Yeah, i signed up for a new account and when i first signed up it said, "Congrats, you are eligible for the 10 day free trial. I wouldn't be able to get the free trial if it wasn't a new account. So does everybody else have the $9.95 option available to them? I guess that just makes me screwed then.

My gf had the same problem. They don't let you choose all the options. The only thing i could do to make it work is to begin the registration process all the way up to where you have to put in your credit card information. Then I clicked their gamefly logo that took me to the main page. It says you have an unfinished registration; would you like to finish it or complete it. Then you can change the membership plan their because you have all the choices.
 
I have 3 referrals so far. A guy from work and his two buddies. They need to show as a paying member and not just a trial member, meaning they have to be a member for at least a month for you to get credit. In my experience thats how it was.

So I can't have 5 different names/emails going to the same address? Ugh... Too much hassle getting 5 other people to sign up even if I pay for them.
