So, I know a lot of people use http://www.gamefly.com

I'm just curious how it is. Is it worth it, do they ship fast? All the shipping is pre-paid I'm sure..say I joined today and put xbox 360 games in my list...how long would I be expecting to wait to get them?

Just curious, I'm considering joining...

You're from Connecticut? It'll take you a few days to receive your games since they ship out of Southern California. I live in Pleasanton (Northern California) and shipping takes 2 days for me.

I've been with Gamefly for almost 2 years now, and I love it. I've been able to try so many games that I never would have bought, and they sometimes sell games for a pretty good price.

Being in the New England area, the turnaround won't be as good as it would be for those of use on the western half of the US. It's extremely fast for me, but it may take a few extra days for you.

Other than that, they're great for their selection and their reliability, to me, was also great. The games I rented when I was a member were things I barely even see on store shelves, like Cubivore, which is a great thing for those gamers who are interested in the games, but don't want to spend the $30-$40 to get it if it's not their thing.

Like everyone else said, a little slowpokey for those of us east of the Mississippi, but overall pretty good service, and the used games I bought from them last fall were MINT. :whistle2:D

Shipping is prepaid, like all the other reputable online rental services.

I'm from PA and tried out there 14 day free trail. It took 8 days to get to me (7 mailing days, 1 sunday) I was said to say I had to cancel it since it wouldn't be worth it to me.

I live in Tennesse, and it takes 2-3 days to get to me. For you, I would guess add a day to that. For that 8 day delivery, unless that was during the holidays, all I can say is your local postal service sucks. The only delays, other than at christmas, that I have experienced were the fault of my postal carrier, not gamefly. If your local PO supports fast return, you will get a new game shipped out to you the day after you mail one back in. It is kind of hit and miss though, even if the local PO uses it. It has gotten more reliable over time with me, though. It is absolutely PERFECT for games you aren't sure about, or that are too short to actually buy (Kameo, Gun, Darkwatch, and on and on), but are really great and make perfect rentals. And since you can "keep it" on most everything for (on average) 20% or better below retail, you really can't go wrong with it. Also, I don't know whether you noticed or not, but right now best buy has a two month/two game for $22 offer. Can't beat half price.
