What happens if you use your Edge Credit and they cancel or you cancel, how do you get your credit back? I thought there were some horror stories related to that where people had to jump through hoops to get it back.
 
yeah I would call them....

that's the only way you'll know for sure, unless you can see the balance on it restored. You should know how much you have on it though.
 
I haven't ordered yet. I'm thinking of ordering Starcraft 2 vanilla with coupon code, but if Amazon comes up with something better I'd cancel. I will still call them, but I think some people here have encountered this issue before and can shed some light.

I think any credit transaction will require the card to be scanned in. I'm sure you could return it in store and have it returned on the card.

Credit is behaved differently than say a credit card.

I recently purchased two games online with an edge card. Neither worked, so GS refunded me by sending a giftcard.
 
This is all good news. If one of us cancels before it ships they'll send a giftcard. Last resort I just return it in store.
