I have a bunch of random stuff that is not worth putting up on ebay. I would like to get a little trade-in credit. I have 6 questions for these stores: GameStop, Hastings, Blockbuster, Hollywood Video, Game X Change, and Vintage Stock.

* On average, which store nets the best trade-in value for disc only games?

* Disc only movies?

* Complete movies?

* Complete games?

* Complete music CDs?

* Disc only music CDs?

Thanks for the help!

It depends too much on the specific game/CD. For example, I took Lego Star Wars I & II for PS2 in to Gamestop and was offered $3 and $7, respectively. Hastings offered me $8 and $4.

I'd say your best bet is to just pick one and go with it. You'll also find that accepted quality (scratches, completeness, etc) is an issue based not so much on franchise as store location and employee.

I worked at Game XChange for 3 and a half years, and I can honestly say that they almost always gave the best trade-in value on video game-related stuff. Not sure I'd say the same for DVDs and other stuff, though. I usually take that stuff to Hasting's.
