Gamestop pre-order bonus

Was wondering if anyone has successfully pre-ordered a game from gamestop, kept the pre order bonus's and was able to return the game itself without any problems? if so share what.

I don't think they make you return those, unless it's gift cards and whatnot. Then they just take that total off your return.

It is not a problem unless you do it a lot. After that they might ban you from pre ordering

I pre-ordered Wind Waker (which I didn't want) to get my copy of Ocarina: Master Quest for five bucks.. They called when the game came out, I said I didn't want it, and they told me to come to the store for a $5 trade-in credit. I don't remember what I bought with it, some cheap PS2 game. But I still have my free copy of Master Quest.

Edit: I broke down and got Wind Waker too, but much later.

So you went to the store... got your 5$ back- and how did you get Ocarina: Master Quest?

Sorry. When I gave them the five bucks (a couple months before WW came out) they handed me Master Quest.
