Hi all,

I was wondering if anyone had any advice/suggestions for credit cards to be used with regards to gas purchases. I spend maybe $100-$200 a month on gas for my SUV, and that's the only expense I'm planning on using the card for. If it has to be a card through a gas station company, I primarily visit Conoco/Philips and BP. I'm looking for the best % back or benefits available. The card will be paid off fully each month. Thanks!

Try AAA, they got gas cards, It will be a credit card for any thing to purchase but if you just use it for gas, points will build up faster for rewards that you can redeem for gift cards or cash.

There is also the Discover gas card that gives you 5% cashback. It also gives you 5% back at any auto store and mechanics shop. If you use your cashback towards gift cards they will double it for some stores too.

I have that card but can't recommend it anymore

1) the 5% on gas/automotive is only on the first $100 in qualified purchases each month
2) After this year, the reward goes DOWN to 2%.
(the 2% is good for gas and restaurants on first $250 in qualified purchases)

I already have a flat 2% reward card so after this year,
the Discover Open Road Card will become USELESS.
After this year, I'll probably switch to the Discover MORE and get the rotating 5% rewards.
