GBA tv shows dont work on ds

I just rebought the ds because of the great line up compared to the launch. I got the mario cart bundle and castlevania still debating on the pheonix (attorney game),mario and luigi saga ds, and maybe that yugio ds game still debating. I was looking into getting one of those video cartoons for the gba and I tried a used one at a local gamestop and it didnt work. Was there a reason for nintendo doing this?

Um, I'm pretty sure they do work. You might have had something screwed up in the cart of system that you tried...
 
They didn't work on my boss' DS (he wanted them for his kid), so he ended up getting rid of his. Kind of odd it only happens with a few.
 
First time I've heard anything like this. Probably just a fluke. The DS has been out for a bit over a year now, if it were true someone would have caught it long ago.
 
did you make sure the GBA cart was pushed in all the way nice and snug?

there really should be no reason for it to not work. Nintendo would address an issue like that

I have three of these GBA TV shows and they all work fine

I have a couple that I have gotten cheap thanks to the site and they both work. Must be something funky on your end then.
