Not dissing the giveaway, but after seeing the trailer for that... and having sat through Diary of the Dead... Romero has lost it.

You ain't kidding. Damn does Survival look bad. Maybe after Land and Diary Romero decided to go for the hat trick of suck?

Oh wait, here's a scene from Survival...http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KhMd0fAHQ6s&NR=1 Hat trick...definitely

To enter, tell why you are his biggest fan.

Someone tell the character known as darkslime to enter his fat ass.

Well... moreso I want another PS3... had he signed it before making.. y'know... the last few, yes. =P I did enter though! :D Since it said "randomly drawn" I have a shot.

"I'm George A. Romero's biggest fan because I have "When there's no more room in hell, the dead will walk the Earth" tattooed across my two buttcheeks.

Also, his movies are severely entertaining, but mostly the buttcheek thing."

^ My submission. 'Cause that's how I roll.

Entered, thanks OP.

On a related note, I thought GR's earlier movies were pretty good. It seems like he's lost his touch for awhile now, as his recent movies are terrible. Yes, even Survival of the Dead, I've seen it and I don't reccomend it.

Romero is a visionary director and I for one LOVED what he did with Diary of the Dead, it was a fresh take on a genre that is just recycling the same old stories... just my opinion of my favorite director

entered, thanks op, strange my comment didn't show up. i'll check back later, maybe it's a bit slow adding recent comments.

He took a bad zombie movie and filmed it Blair Witch style. It's nothing visionary. Filming movies like that has been done before. Bad zombie movies have been done a lot before. He combined two stale things, I don't see the vision.

Night, wonderful. Dawn, wonderful. Day, wonderful. Land, I enjoyed it at least. Diary, what the fuck happened? Survival... I don't even want to watch it.

Oh, at least this is keeping his contest bumped up :D

Thanks OP!

Saw this at a film screening.

1. The WORST one out of the bunch. Makes the remake of "Day" (that someone else did) look great.
2. if you're a fan (like me..of the first 3) and pay $9.50, you are going to be very disappointed.
3. At the screening, saw alot of fans upset, pissed and a girl cried (and not out of terror).
4. Breaks a long standing "protocol" in his (and other) movies (not spoiling it, but it's at the end. PM me if you want to know, it's almost laughable).

Months ago, after I saw this, I had to change my sig on CAG. As much as I am a horror and b-movie fan, Mr. Romero has either "lost his way" or similar to Fulci, just got lucky a few times (look at ALL of both bodies of works and you'll realize it too). But over the last 5 years since this whole infusion of zombie, goth and rockabilly thing seems hip, he's their king and can do no wrong (even by turning out clunker after clunker). He needs to start letting others do his works (like the remake of Dawn which was an good movie).

Thank you OP, I've entered. I probably wouldn't have found this contest on my own...and this is something I would really love to have. Good luck to the other CAGers entering.
