Getting a Wii Sunday. Have questions.

I saw the sticky on this forum that says that Target is going to be selling Wii's this Sunday and I have a few questions.

1. Are there usually a lot of people (more than they have) before the store opens?
2. About how long should I plan on getting there before the store opens?
3. Is there any accessories I need to buy for the console? i.e. SD card?

Thanks!

Depends on your area. There really aren't many campouts at my local department stores. To be safe, an hour beforehand is pretty typical.

If you like the Minigame thing, Wii play is a steal as it comes with an extra wii remote.

the SD card isn't needed right away, wii does have some internal memory.

Thanks.

BTW, has anyone bought a Wii at Target on Sunday morning before? Do I just go to the videogame department and ask for it or is there like a special area to buy it?

I remember when I bought my 360 a while back at Best Buy and we had to go right to the cashier and ask for it.

I bought a Wii at Target on Sunday morning before. About 1/2-1 hour before opening, a Target employee will come out and hand out vouchers for the Wii. If you get a voucher, you're guaranteed a Wii; just stay in line and the employee(s) will tell you where you can get your Wii. It may vary from Target to Target but at my Target I went to the Guest Service area to pick up/purchase the Wii. I hope that helps, good luck on Sunday!

Thanks. That does help a lot.
Just wondering..how long ago did you buy it?

I bought the Wii back in January so it wasn't too long ago. I'm glad I was able to help you out. :)

Any other game suggestions?

I'm thinking of going so I'll have a Wii for Brawl, but I'll need something to tide me over before then. I'm thinking either Mario Galaxy or Super Paper Mario, but save for Twilight Princess (I have the GameCube version) and Metroid Prime 3 (haven't finished the first two), I'm open to anything. :D

In order from best to least best in my personal preferences. The grades are according to fun factor.

No More Heroes - A+
Resident Evil 4 Wii - A+
Super Mario Galaxy - A+
Zack & Wiki: Quest For Barbosa's Treasure - A
One Piece: Unlimited Adventure (terribly overlooked - rent it if you can) - B+
Super Paper Mario - B+
Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn - B+
Medal of Honor Heroes 2 (the online is extremely good and fun for this! 32 players at once!) - B+
MLB Power Pros - B+
Endless Ocean - B+
Trauma Center New Blood - B+

I'd suggest getting there 2 hours early so you can guarantee yourself a console. No point getting up to walk away empty handed. The fact is if you know about the system being at Target, a bunch of other people will know about it to. Why take the chance of not getting up an couple hours early?

Oh, I know - there were huge lines at Toys R Us the last time they had them in stock, to the point where they covered it on the local news.

The fun part comes in when I try to figure out which Target I should go to. There's probably seven or eight within easy driving distance from where I live, and I've got to try to guess which one will give me the best shot at getting a Wii. :whistle2:k

If you want to be sure to get one be there an hour before. Just to check out if there is going to be a line. The demand is not as high I guess so they moght last until 10 depending on your area.

I recommend to get:

A Wii Zapper w/ Crossbow Training (or buy the game separately and get a Nyko Perfect Shot).
Super Mario Galaxy
Wii Play

That'll start you out with an extra Wiimote, an accessory, and 4 games to play (counting Wii Sports).
