Getting Dust out of the Screen?

Like A Breath

CAGiversary!
My top screen of the original DS is filled with dust. This doesn't really bother me indoors(even though I do notice a speck), but playing in sunlight is a disaster. Is there any way to safely remove the dust? Thanks.

Probably not without voiding your warranty, if it's still active and you care about that thing. Otherwise would probably have to take it apart and find someway to get the front cover off.

I remember the original Gameboy Nintendo sold a little kit you could get with an entirely new screen cover and a little tool to get your old screen off so you could clean under it.

I used to clean te inside of all my friends cell phone screens by taking a razor and carefully prying up at the corner of the top screen. you should do this in a room with little dust. Then find a super soft clean rag (like the nintendo screen cleaning ones) and gently clean out all of the crap stuck in there. After this is done, the glue should still be sticky and adhere the cover back to the screen. If not, razor up a few very thin pieces of scotch tape and cover the crack entirely, this will also help prevent future dust from getting back on the screen.

Make sure you check and see if the warrenty is still good first, and i wouldn't try this unless your warranty isn't any good, (or if you really really want your screen clean.

I have done this procedure to my Motorola RAZR about 5 times now over the course of a year and a half...still works good too.

The only time I have had a problem with this is with my cell phone, however since I hardly use it I really don't care.

Also I had this problem with the game gear system but I just pulled off the plastic covering the screen with a small eyeglass screwdriver and cleaned all the crap out.
