GI Mag Issue 200 Cool Retro Covers

Anyone else liking these 200th issue of Game Informer? I don't really like Game Informer, but these covers are actually pretty cool.

So far I've seen a Mario one, which I don't have a picture of, and also the Metroid and the Tetris ones below,

But I think by far the coolest one is the one they let me take home, since obviously they wouldn't let me take all of them, I had to take the first two pictures with my phone. Here is the coolest one I think by far, Front and back cover.

What covers have everyone else found that isn't listed here? Because I was told there are a lot of different covers for this issue mainly because of the top 200 games of all time, so I wanna see them all! :D
 
I got a Half Life 2 one... as much as I like HL2,I'd rather have the FFVI one... or a CT one, if there is one though I think the covers are only of games in their top 10.

Omg! If there was a CT one, that would be pretty kick ass too. I wish my store had more covers, but they only had the few when I went there. >.
 
I got FFVI.

On a side note, does anyone like the magazine's "overhaul"? I think I like it a lot more.. IMO GI has come pretty damn far from being a kissass plug-fest (dead to rights 2 cover story anyone?), but hopefully they won't become too bloggy and opinionated like EGM did before it went bottom up.
 
I dont mind the new GI. Its definitely got a more "sleek" vibe to it. Sometimes the layout of things can be a bit odd though.

The FF6 is sick... I enjoy the Metroid or Zelda one, but I got Mario... it's ok.

I think the Doom one is nice, but seeint GTA or HL2... is kinda... out of place?

I know what you mean. They don't quite fit in with the "retro" decor. XD

You mean its pixelated, and in game sprites, then drawings of characters? maybe they are in cutscene shots, but it didnt look that way to me.

All the classics were not created backin the 8-16 bit days, however.
 
As awesome as the covers are, I can't really bring myself to actually pay the money to buy one. I'm half tempted to attempt to vectorize the FF6 one and attempt to turn it into a poster or something, though.

If I were you, I'd just walk into the closest Gamestop store, and see if they have a HL2 one. Just tell them you want the HL2 one. Normally they are pretty happy to be getting rid of those things anyways. I saw the FFVI and asked them on the spot if I can have that one since I got one I didn't like in the mail, and they let me take it.
 
I wanted an FFVI one also, will ask around as the store I just went to and renewed my membership at didnt have that cover

I was at GS a few days ago and I didn't really check thoroughly but all they had were the Zelda covers. I think these were probably sent out in bulks, not completely randomly. Still, I'm gonna try and find a FFVI one and maybe a Mario one.

I got the Mario one in the mail.

The guys at my store all know me so they let me take the FF VI one. I had to have ti considering it is my favorite Final Fantasy game of all time

Me too. This was about a month after they stopped sending me issues since my Edge expired(but they promised me 6 months more of the mag since it took 6 months to fix my address being completely screwed up in the system).

So I was shocked to find another issue in the mail either last week or the week before. Then, I renewed my Edge after trading in a couple games from the HWV $5 sale for 2-3x what I paid and they gave me one of the other covers that I hadn't received of issue 200.

I just got the Dead Space 2 issue in the mail yesterday and it has some interesting previews on the Transformers War For Cybertron game, as well as God Of War 3 and at least one other decent article(for once).

I'm liking the new redesign thus far, which seems to be more articles and less ads. Before it was 50/50 on ads and content.

if anyone has a scanner, wouldn't mind to get a good copy of the FF one.

I won't be able to get to GS for awhile yet, and all I got is the lame Mario one... :(
