Got Gitaroo man over the weekend for 40 at a gamestop. the next day I finished it on normal, hard, and master mode. took all of about 6 hours to finish. So should I just take it back or sell it on ebay or something. One of the most disappointing "rare" games I've played almost as disappointing as that elusive Firefighter game.

I liked it alot. Great for 2 players as well. I bought at gamestop for the same and it will stay in my collection even if it's lost its rarity a bit. And yes the fire fighter game was a piece of shit.

I love Gitaroo man, I go back and play it from time to time, I vote for keeping it.

And I think I must be the only person in the world that actually likes that firefighter game.

You finished fucking MASTER mode!? IN ONE DAY!?

Took me about a month of playing on and off to get through normal. In total I must have played about 6 hours to to beat it. You must be a freaking master at that game to get through it that fast. I really enjoyed the game, great music and tons of fun. So I would definatly keep it.

You are obviously a much better player than I. I bought it used a while back for < $20, and I really enjoy(ed) it, but I hadn't seen a lot of hype about it at the time, so the (somewhat) unexpected uniqueness of it contributed to my enjoyment. Had I actually sought the game out, and paid $40 for it, I suppose I might have found it less enjoyable. I have yet to open my copy of the firefighter game, so I can't comment on that one.

It may just be that you are too good at rythm games for this one to challenge you, but have you considered the possibility that you may have been concentrating so hard on getting through the game, that you, perhaps, didn't take time to smell the roses. Also, one thing that I really liked was showing the game to my friends (most of whom are non-gamers). It usually gets a pretty good reaction. Maybe you could think of someone who might enjoy it, and invite them over to play it (you don't have to invite them over just to play the game, of course).

I liked a lot of the songs.. but some of them were lame.. the Trio song was cool the spanish guitar. the sappy love song was a little lame.. the organ in the church level was my favorite though.. yeah.. well.. once I got the mechanics down I thought the game was way easy.. the master mode was a bit of a challenge but I never played through any of the songs more then 3 times on it. I might keep it for a little while, I love parappa the rapper and this game is similar to it (right down to the core "i gotta believe" theme)

and DO NOT open the firefighter game, its so bad, I got so bored within the first 3 minutes and yeah.. lame lame lame.. I have come across 3 copies at the pawn shop paid total 30 dollars made a 100 and I normally don't buy games for profit sakes, I originally bought it to play it found out it sucked so i hucked them on ebay (this was 3 separate times) so yeah.. I may put it down for a week then come back to Gitaroo man.. but those 10 stages go by so fast that its hard to stay interested .. hopefully i will be getting guitar hero soon.. I can't wait.. probably the closest we'll get to having Guitar Freaks in the states (which is an amazing game too)
um jammer lammy was better than parappa. you should try that game out.
I have that one too and I do love it paid 3 or 4 dollars for a complete copy at a game stop.

I like playing Gitaroo man with friends, cos its only when someone else is playing that I really get to watch the game and notice all the cool stuff going on in the background. When Im playing it myself, Im staring too intensely and the little button symbols flying into the middle of the screen, or the whammy bar line thingy...

decided to take it back.. bought it because i thought the ebay price was still high, its not.. so back it went.. terrible over rated game.

Wow, I thought it was a lot of fun. I'm horrid at completing games, but highly enjoyed playing it and bringing it out to play with other people. *shrug* I mean it doesn't even require an akward periphreal and it's still quirky and fun, works for me! =P
