This would probably be easier if you told us what state you lived in. Then again, I doubt there are many stores that offer both of those options.

Minnesota, but as i said, "most states" means the same thing, as i cant think of a place that does not charge tax in most places, but does for MN. If it charges for MN its usually mostly everywhere.

Anyway, i'm just doing a rather specific buy of several games, and there is one thing that none of the free shipping and tax sites (amazon, buy.com) can do for one final piece of my purchase.

in true CAG fashion, i insist on being able to get this final piece for the best savings possible.

amazon would have worked, but it's free shipping is 25 or higher and the item is 19.99, and the 2nd item in my purchase is 2-3 weeks backordered (meaning it likely aint coming), so basically i'm ordeirng one item from several different stores, all minimum price and all dont charge tax or shipping, it just so happens i need one more store that has this kind of offer that carries the last title (that way it would be no different really than if i had ordered them all from one place).

if that sounds incoherent, just focus on the question ;)
 
Is Amazon the seller offering the item? If so, they would end up shipping the item once it's back in stock unless it's an out of print item. This happened to me with The World Ends With You where I could order the item but was on backorder due to none being in stock.

You could have them bundle the shipment so that you won't get charged until they both ship. That is if you're in no rush to get either item.

let's just say i've already thought through all those steps (otherwise i wouldnt be posting my question).

there's alot of complications, so let's just leave at, I need some more stores that have a free shipping option and no tax (aside from the ones listed already).
