Glass of water by the bedside at your sleepy time?

I'm the only person I know that gets a glass of water and sits it bedside before going to sleep. Sometimes I drink it sometimes I don't. But I mostly do end up drinking some of it.

So anyone else?

I'm constantly drinking throughout the day (I'd have to estimate I drink somewhere in the area of 2-3 liters daily) and then drink just before bed.

If I wake up in the middle of the night, my bathroom is 20 ft away, so I just take a swig outta the faucet (it helps that I'd be so tired at that point that I don't taste the hardness of the water).

I do, but it's a half gallon jug of filtered water. Yeah, I drink lots of water.

Usually I drink most of it right when I get up, because I tend to have a pretty dry mouth when I wake, and I hate that.

Bedside water bottle is a must during the long dry michigan winter. It's also good for cooling after nocturnal mating rituals in the summer.

I take a big sip of water from the cup that my wife usually has by her side of the bed. I don't keep any cup of water by my side unless I've been boozing that night.

I'd probably knock it over and fry some electronics. I'd like to keep water beside my bed, but it always ends up being warm in the morning, and warm water is fucking disgusting to have to drink. :puke:

I definitely do. Sometimes I drink it, sometimes I don't. It depends on whether I sleep through the night but most mornings I finish whatever is left as soon as I get up.

just so you know underwear gnomes dip their balls in the water at your bedside while you sleep so yeah maybe you should get up and get a fresh glass and not be so damn lazy you humps.

Ever since I started snorting a bunch of dope I've kept a bottle of water on my night stand. I figure I wouldn't want anything else since most drinks have sugar (natural fructose or sucrose whatever) and that aint good after brushing my teeth :whistle2:D

no, but i do keep the mini-fridge by the mattress shoved in the corner stocked with tiny liquor bottles i swipe from business flights

if i wake up and i'm thirsty usually i will just pound a couple dozen of those babies and i'm good to go

If by water you mean scotch and by glass you mean flask, then yes. Every single night. Hell, I have scotch with me wherever I go.

I've kept a bottle of water by my bed since I was five. I don't always drink it during the night, but in case my throat gets dry, I need it there.

I used to keep a cup at the bedside table, but a few too many *GONK*s combined with my pre-sleepytime PSP-time, forced a choice. The cup lost.

Now I usually drink 1.5 cups before bed and occasionally refill during my usual 3:30AM piss break (getting older sucks).

More often than not, yes, a large glass of ice with only a tiny bit of water. Saves it going too warm by the end of the night.

More often than not, also, my cat decides to either drink from it and proceeds to knock it over spilling it over various bedside electronics, or else I get clumsy and knock it over myself. I'm suprised I haven't caused some sort of elecrtical fire or ruined my ds or mp3 player or idog and whatnot.

No. You never know what may crawl into your water. The husband of a coworker once chugged his glass of water at his bedside and swallowed a live cockroach.

I thought I was the only one as well. I usually drink a glass, then bring one to the nightstand for when I wake up.

I keep a water bottle next to the bed to cure my liquor based dehydration throughout the night.

Is this so you can drink in the middle of the night? I almost never wake up during the night. For when you wake up? Wouldn't it be warm? And who knows what could have gotten into it. How difficult is it to go and grab a fresh cool glass?

I've never heard of this before.

I drink half a cup of water before going to sleep, not a full cup because I don't want to get up at night to pee.

I'm very prone to waking up in the middle of the night with cotton mouth, so yes, there is always some type of beverage at my bedside. And if I don't wake up in the middle of the night, I pound it right when I wake up.

Similar thing happened to me. Found a cricket in my water once...So I bought one of those Eddie Bauer water bottles with the twist cap and used that ever since

If I wake up and my throat is dry, or get up to take a leak.
Its nice to have when you wake up.
Nothing wrong with warm water.
You swallow more in your sleep during the night i.e bugs, dust, skin, dust mites etc. You eat worse at fast food joints then a glass of water sitting around for 8 hours. Dust mites are literally shitting on your body at night time.
You going to get up and get a glass of whatever time you want a quick drink at night?

Its just nice to have, but like I said I'm the only person I know that takes a glass to bed. Some people I know drink before going to bed. Its just one of those things. Like some people wash their hair first in the shower, and some wash their hair last.

Either a glass of sprite or water by my bedside (I woke up feeling really sick one night and sprite made the nausea go away so now I feel like I have to have it there.. sometimes)

And there's the tale of the death of my first XBox 360 controller.

What sucks is that the controllers that came with the premium launch systems have a shiny silver underside.. but every other one has a dull grey color

fuck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

not even ten seconds after I posted this, I backed my chair up, it hit a TV tray, and bam.. sprite everywhere. It has possibly ruined another shiny..

..my shiny MK: Armageddon standee :'(

Luckily it went on all carpet, nothing electronic.. that I can tell of.. cripes. I hope that standee isn't less shiny now because that standee is awesome.

Strangely enough, yes.

The only time I drink water sometime during the night is when I wake up with really bad heartburn. It can go from 1 glass to 3 glasses to put out the fire in my chest.

I drink a lot of water throughout the day and sometimes I get up if I'm still half awake and go get a glass of water or orange juice.

I used to keep a glass but I would always not drink it or knock it over creating a mess in the morning; so now I just take a drink before I go to bed.

I always swig some water before I go to sleep so I never go to sleep with a dry throat. I leave the bottle on the bedside if I want more water in the night.

I don't really drink anything before bed, and I don't keep anything with me. Once in a great while I'll get up and get a drink of water. (Maybe once a month or so.)
