Has anyone else have a problem with GoHastings selling un-shrinkwrapped (potentially used) games as new?

I've only ordered a few times and never had a problem. But, I just got my latest order of PSP games and 6 out of the 8 games were opened. All but two still look new but one has some manual wear and one of the UMD cases has marks like it was used (or at least tested). Just kind of ticks me off when I paid a couple extra bucks for new games vs. used.

I have had it happen a few times, the worst was once they sent me a disc only game in a generic case. It was only $0.79 so I didn't feel like complaining (back when they marked down games to $0.79 online once in a while). I won't buy new games from their website anymore because of it.

Bleh thats why I stopped shopping at Gamestop for a long time. I guess I know now not to buy "new" from Gohastings either.

The "BS me" game is multiplayer though. You bought new games and that's not what you got. You've been BSed. Your move.

What new condition game was marked down to $0.79?

There was a bunch of DS shovel ware going for those prices a couple of months ago.

Just got the final reply from GoHastings customer service: They will take them back and give me a full refund (even sent me a pre-paid shipping label). But, I suggested they just refund me the difference between the NEW/USED price which they are not willing to do.

I added it up and they would only be loosing ~$6 on the deal. I think the initial + return shipping is going to end up costing them more than that. Crazy.

They love to lose money on return shipping. They REALLY need to update their POS system to allow their CS reps to do more than one all or nothing action of "total refund (maybe w/ a return) or nothing." They can't price adjust, they can't re-order items they screwed up with for you at earlier price points, etc. etc. etc.

It makes sense to me. What's to stop everyone from ordering a new game and saying it arrived opened to get that refund if they approve your refund? Nothing much, really.

But there isn't anything to stop someone from doing that now.

In the end I am just going to keep the games. It still doesn't sit right with me but now that JUNEBUG is dead I can't re-order even used copies for what I paid (even for used). I'll just think twice before I order from GoHastings again.
