Good and (cag priced) 5 way cable spiltter

not to hijack, but Im in need of a good 6-way for digital cable. by the way, I've only seen 2,3,4,6,8 ways, no five. but get a six and put a terminal cap on the 6th

If your going to split cable that much. It would be best to buy a cable amplifier.

If you don't use a powered amp likes this then all of your channels will look like shit on all of the tvs. If you have a cable company tell them you want to add lines to other rooms, and see how much it is. If that costs to much ask them how much would they sell you an amp for.

What do you plan to do with the splitter? Do you have a cable modem or any digital boxes or all your connections directly to your TV?

Prices are so cheap, I would recommend grabing anything else you'll need such as video cables or ethernet lines. I've had good experience with them.

u can get signal amps from radioshack (single and four split, also bi-directional). as for me, Im splitting the main feed in 2 (one to modem, one to amp then to 6 way). Ive heard its best not to amp the cable modem line cause it doesnt work very well (i can attest to this, at least it didnt help. did with tv picture, but not internet).

DO NOT BUY CABLE AMPS, signal levels need to be measured by a professional.

Mine is for two dig cable boxes(boff HD) one reg tv, and cable internet so I guess I really only need a 4 way(again the cold meds )

Go to the store and buy a 4 way 1000MHZ splitter. I wouldn't pay more then $5 for it. Where I live if you stop by the Cable operators office building you can get them for free.
