Good Deal?

Stores should have plenty in a few weeks, if not by now, so you probally should just buy it in a store for $150 plus tax.
 
a few months is a long time. is there any place that sells the cheaper, bigger old ps2s?

Agreed, dont pay that much for a slim ps2, waiting wouldnt be a bad idea

probably not, unless you want it used, and they still might not have any used. This Christmas season pretty much wiped out the full supply of the old and new PS2s
 
Agreed. $180 for a ps2 w/o a slot for a hard drive is horrible. Try get it for $150 w/o the sales taxes. There are places.
 
If you haven't checked your local stores, do that. If nobody has it and you don't want to wait, that probably isn't too bad. Though the cheap shipping might take a while... And eCost is that crappy site that jacks a Handling fee on to every order. WTF is up with that?

Personally I wouldn't pay over MSRP to a store just on principal.
 
$180 for a PS2 is a ripoff. Most stores should have them back in stock now, but to be honest I would much rather have the original design over the "slim" version. Sorry, but I would prefer having the hard drive slot myself over it being a few inches smaller. But that is just me.
