Good SNES deal?

Thanks, I was feeling an itsy bit screwed over when I first stuck CT inside the SNES (it wouldn't work right away) but after huffing and puffing for awhile, it got there ^_^;

BTW, sm04as, (hehe, almost Rez worthy...*:drools:*) think of swap meets as like outdoor thrift stores or a whole bunch of garage sales gathered in one spot for easy access ^^

Basically a flea market.

That's not just good, that's an EXCELLENT deal! When I picked up my used SNES it was from Gamestop. It was the model 2 SNES and came with all hookups, two controllers and the box(if that really matters), but cost me 39.99 instead. That should give you an idea just how awesome of a deal you just got :)

Oh yeah, I meant to ask since I'm such a retro Nintendo n00b what all the diff. in models is... is it just aesthetic?? Mine's the reg...1st model I believe (where you have to push up the power and reset)

GS rips you off big time on used consoles :|

But thanks for the congrats ^-^

The difference in the two models is pretty much just in the looks. You do have the model one. The model two just simplified things by making just a power and reset button as well as making the system more compact. Only thing I don't like about the model two, is that there's no power light like the model one has. A minor thing, but still... ;). About the only other difference now might be that the model two's might not be suffering the "yellow" effect as much as the model one's, but I'm not positive on that one.

You're right. My Model 1 (About 12 years old almost now...) has been infected with the yellowish color the model 2 I got about 8 or something years ago is still the same color.

Guess what, I got an even better deal. I got a Model 1 SNES with all hook-ups, a 1st party controller, a 3rd party controller, and CT (complete) for FREE!!! That's right, FREE!!! Turns out my sister's boyfriend used to be a nerd and gave me a whole box of old-ass games. It including three NES's, about 15 NES games, the SNES, CT, and a few other SNES games. But I sold the NES's and all the games, and traded CT away.
