My girlfriend's coming to visit on Friday, so I started doing some housecleaning (she's going to college in Knox-town, and we don't get to see each other too often). I'd been out of space on all my bookshelves for a while and had been doubling up on stuff - books in front of books, games in front of books, games in front of more games - so I decided to go out and grab another set of shelves to kind of take some of the burden. While doing so I also felt the urge to add to the problem and go shopping.

I found a first-printrun copy of Neal Stephenson's Cryptonomicon at a local bookstore for $7, which made me happy. Then I hit up Game Crazy, just on a whim. Whereupon I found a pristine disc-only copy of Suikoden II for $25. The hell? Twenty-five bucks? Mine.

Today I went out again and scored Prince of Persia 2 for the SNES for $10, and a dogbone NES controller for $3.

And my Outpost.com copy of DDS came in today! Woo!

In Great Escape related news, I picked up a pretty ragged (though complete) copy of Morrowwind GOTY today...

For three bucks.

PC? I'd believe that, because they've got great prices on their PC games. Console, though, I'd only maybe believe you if you were at the discount Great Escape store down the block.

Believe it, my friend; console. I bring no shenanigans; it was for Xbox, cost 2.99, and was bought from TGE, not it's discount counterpart (where is that, btw?).

Also picked up KOTOR2 and the guide for 24.99 while I was there. God bless that store.

The half-price store? It's one or two blocks away, towards I40. They're only open on the weekends or something like that. The advertisements are all over the regular store. (At least, they were...)

Don't forget to let me know if they get any new Saturn or Dreamcast games!

Ah yes, will do! I keep my eyes on the stuff there, but nothing other than that damned half Shenmue 2 has gotten my attention. But yeah, I'll let you know.
